Dont know if this is necesarily just on Joan, its really a combination of our experience with other folks within NAF and the process with NAF itself, but it took over 3 months to get our construction to perm loan closed, which is an insane amount of time--but surprisingly DOUBLE the amount of time of the estimate that Joan gave us to begin with, and a lot of it was just waiting around as people didn't ask questions, wasn't proactive, and didn't follow up until I started doing daily calls and daily emails. Near the end, my emails went ignored or un-answered. If i knew the loan was going to take 3-4 months to close, I would not have gone with NAF at all. It delayed our house build into 2025, forced us to leave our apt as our lease ended during this time, and caused so many problems.

Overall the NAF team was great. We had loads of questions and lots of unique circumstances and they all really made the process smooth and quick. Can’t thank them enough for our home!

It just seemed that there was a lack of communication. Diana Do went above and beyond. There was a constant request for repeated information from the underwriting, and there were several times things had to be sent multiple times.

If you do not know how certain numbers are derived in the paperwork, I would expect you to just say, "I'm not sure how they came up with that. Let me check into it and get back to you", instead of just trying to blow me away / threaten to cancel the mortgage application.
