Kelly lied to me. He told me that escrow was a VA requirement for a VA loan. I relied on his knowledge & expertise. After my loan closed, I found out through the VA, that escrow is not required for a VA loan. When I asked NAF to remove my escrow, they refused & said “they require” escrow for VA loans. Yet they do not require escrow for other types of loans. I know this as my prior NAF loan did not require Escrow. Bottom line, is that I was lied to by Kelly & NAF discriminates against VETS!

There is no communication at all from Michael he is totally worthless. We had to go to Adam Rose who too a little better care of us. Working with this company and with Prominent Escrow is the worst experience that I have ever had for a refinance and I will never use them again or recommend them.

It took 2 months to get a refinance done. We inquired about the length of time we were told that he has 50 customers who needed his attention and he didn't have time to explain things to me. We were quoted a lower interest rate than we received after going through the closing process and we were told they would pay off other creditors with our closing proceeds and instead they federal expressed the checks to our home and we had to go to the UPS store and pay to send the creditors the payoffs.

Communication

Chris had zero initiated communication, and the communication responses to my questions were rude and pompous.He made sure to let me know how many years experience he had, yet took it upon himself to make changes that were contractual and out of his lane. He did not have lending package to attorney in his promised time frame although he had Plenty of time, which caused an inconvenience to the buyer, the seller, the attorney and the realtors. It was a very unpleasant experience.

Steve was polite. However there were multiple issues with him and his partner Samantha. First, he made a significant typo in my address that showed up repeatedly in the process and had to be manually edited by me during signing. Next, a very inaccurate appraisal resulted in modifications to the loan. Next, an unexplained removal of lender credit I had to negotiate back. Next, multiple emails with attachments I couldn’t be open. Then, a delay in my refund due to extra docs to sign AFTER closing.

This isn't all Patrick's fault. I started the process w/ Jamie Hertz, she was very nice, but at some point she just stopped answering my calls & only responded to my texts a day later. I had to push to get information about a process they should have been keeping me informed about. Patrick emailed me the day before my rescission ended to tell me he was me new loan officer. At that point I was already unhappy with the lack of communication and bad notary. I will not be using NAL again.

We were left uninformed until the very last minute, put us in a vulnerable position where we had no choice but to spend additional $$, too many versions of the final closing package by the lending team and not once they acknowledged the inefficiency nor the room for improvement they have. Unreliable and not so transparent service. Our realtor with 20 years experience stated he has NEVER experienced having to encounter so many problems we encountered with this lending company.
