This lender has absolutely no idea what he is doing. He advised us we pre qualified to buy a second home prior to selling our home. After the contract was made and we set closing, his underwriting department said we must sell our current home before purchasing the new home. This cost us quite a bit of money since we could not close and had to keep the sellers happy and get our new buyers in as quickly as possible. We had so much out of pocket and this was a very costly mistake. Buy elsewhere!

The communication at Draper and Kramer was always vague and round about—it was clear that the clients were not the primary interest. We had enough money to pay for our house in cash but Josh had us constantly adding new last minute documents to support the mortgage and not being clear as to why they were needed. There was always a threat of not getting a mortgage. We originally received a clear to close on a Thursday but due to the seller’s illness, the closing date was pushed to Monday. In the middle of our closing we received A TEXT from Josh saying that more documents were needed and we couldn’t close that day. Meanwhile, we were cleared to close three days prior. Our real estate agent and lawyer both said they’ve never seen this happen in their 30 year career. Draper and Kramer has been incredibly unprofessional and I’ll make sure any friends, families or acquaintances avoid your company.

Extremely poor communication; we received documents that didn't pertain to our transaction; at times communication was aggressive

I had multiple conversations with Abby over the months regarding the parameters I wanted met for me to do a refinancing: i) I pay no closing costs and ii) my loan amount would not be increased. The day before the closing, Abby told me that I told her differently. Super disappointed! My loan amount was increased by $5,000, so I ended up paying quite a bit in closing costs. I will not do business with Draper & Kramer again.

Impossible to contact. Never returned calls and emails. “Last minute” things popped up and slowed our process down. Cost us extra time and money.

To not have been lied to, tricked into a RIDICULOUS interested rate! Rates changed after I signed my 10,000.00 escrow away because I was lied to. Was also lied to regarding the pre-payment penalty. Was told that was removed and did not find out until the day before closing that it was not. When I called Mark Lee to ask about my loan, he reported to Maria that was was not allowed to call and discuss my loan and that I needed to go through her, this is what I was told by Maria, not sure if that was true as I was lied to so many times.

Lack of communications and follow through. Don't respond to messages and had to follow up with multiple times to get things done. Rate changed 3 times and does not deliver as quoted. Closing and funding processed was delayed and had to called 2-3 times to follow up and almost missed the deadline. The whole process was painful and did not get the rate as quoted originally. Don't have much confidence in Cheryl words and it was a nightmare experience.
