Mostly it was not William Nava's fault. The fault lies with the policies of new American. Not asking for all the info first. Having underwriting asking for the same information given before. Having to have a useless appraisal. Asking for more information as the process went on, e.g. asking for a partial bank statement for what purpose--that the past ones, even current, were hiding something? Locking in a rate then taking too long so that the rate expires (but Nava helped here).

This is my first experience with the loan/refi process. I would have preferred more communication and a step by step process. We obviously did not communicate because I lost out on a lower fixed rate, and no fees and points promotion, when Michael had thought I did not want to go through with the loan.

This has been our second re-fi in 2 years so I am going to compare this experience with the previous. Transition from officer to processor was not smooth. My previous experience was seamless in service and communication. Felt officer and processor were not on the same page at times. The process felt rushed with moments of pressure placed on me to get documents submitted. All this even though I was a simple and easy case w/ very good rating and quick submittal on documents.
