HORIBLE LENDER! I am located in St. Louis, MO. Inquired about getting a loan through New American Funding. I was assigned a broker (CM) He proceeded to credit check me. I'm thinking everythings going well then...He ups and ignores my text, call, and email. I did nothing wrong. All I was doing was waiting for him to tell me or send my preapproval (he never did). I think he saw I wasnt approved for much so I did not matter to him. I contacted New American Funding to see whats going on. His boss ignored me and all NEW AMERICAN FUNDING employees would not send me my preapproval AFTER THEY ALREADY CREDIT CHECKED ME. Do not wasted your time with this company, if you dont gave 500k to spend they dont care or want to talk to you.

Terrible ran my husband's and I'd credit with out our permission. Put a hard inquiry on both. They think it's funny and isn't responding to emails nor calls after I called initially on why she ran out credit with our speaking to us prior to get consent...I am filing a complaint on both our behalf with BBB

My wife and I were going to fullfill the dream of buying our dream home and New American was going to make that possible. Well that was the plan as we went through all of the necessary steps only to have a last minute obstacle flung in our direction. We secured a loan at 5 % when and were ready with the down payment when an 11th hour decision on their end dashed our hopes. On the Thursday night , less that 48 hours before the sale closed it was raised to 10%. The reason we were given was two late payments on bills we have, one which was two years old. We should have been notified much earlier giving us the ability to come up with the extra 10,000. It was even the fact that our down payment had to be doubled it was the sheer unprofessionalism with which our matter was handled. We were asked if we had the money or not. We had movers coming, tranferred all of our ultilities and I brought my elderly parents to live with me with the expectation of moving in soon. Now there are 7 of us with 3 children in a small trailer and no room or house to move into. They were very unprofessional and rude in their dealings with us and made us not want to try this again for a while with anyone but New American of course. They avoided us and wouldnt return our calls and no one wants to be treated like that.

I spoke with Joe at New American Funding about 6 months before I needed to close on a new home loan and asked at least 6 times that my credit not be pulled but rather just wanted to explore their various loan options. I was assured over and over and over that my credit wouldn’t be pulled and that everything would be fine. Well you guessed it, my credit was pulled and annoyingly to them wasn’t much of an issue and was really just swept under the rug. I spoke to Joe over the phone about the issue and was told “don’t worry it won’t effect your score” well it actually dinged my score 17 points and my wife’s 13. Exactly what I didn’t need while trying to buy a new home. And now I am left working with the credit report company that provides the credit reports to New American Funding to get everything reversed and pulled off my credit report. End of the story is that all they cared about was getting my info to process another loan and make another buck or two. And their quote wasn’t even very competitive.

Horrible experience from day one. Our loan officer quit in the midst of closing and we weren’t even told about it. Finally got told they were assigning someone new to us and she was terrible at responding. The appraiser who did an appraisal on the house we were buying docked things for the seller to fix and when closing day came around they told us we couldn’t close because they forgot to schedule a reappraisal. The guy who did the first appraisal was out of town so they had another guy come out and he said everything was fine so we closed. They told us our loan officer would be at the closing table and no one showed up. They then proceeded to send the first appraiser back out after we closed and he docked stuff wrong and they are now saying we have to get all the repairs done by the end of this week or we have to pay back our grant.

She was very personable and helpful all the way through the refinance process. Very professional.

Worst experience ever- go elsewhere
