Very unclear on timeline during the whole process -- how long each step should take and when I could hear back. Real problem was when after the notary came and everything was signed and funded -- got absolutely no follow up to this. Just sent a link to log in to my account, without providing me any details (like loan number) for how to make an account. This was right at the end of the month and it wasn't even clear to me that the next payment was taken care of.

I found Michelle Sweeney to be very pleasant and professional. There seemed to be a lack of communication between Michelle and the loan officer throughout the process which became very frustrating at times. I was extremely unhappy with my experience at the very end. I believe this was more of the loan officer's issue than Michelle; it is difficult to know for sure. At any rate, not necessarily due to Michelle, I would never use New American again nor would I recommend them to friends.

Sr processor who corresponded with us asked for same information multiple times, did not respond to emails quickly, and seemed to do all correspondence at the last minute. Notably, did not contact our homeowner's insurance until Friday late afternoon one business day before closing and then told us Monday morning that our insurance company was late with the information needed. Also were told by builders that they were having issues getting ahold of mortgage team for closing information.

Disappointed with lack of response when communiting, especially after loan acceptance and progess. Several emails never answered as to progress or where we were at. After signing, with discussion with Sr. associate, funds where not transfered how they were supposed to be, so no one paid any attention to notes on closing paperwork as to this. On the positive, fee's and their costs help secure the deal, as many lenders came to the table with same interest, etc. but their fees were out of line.

Honestly about the need to secure the interest rate instead of waiting till it was higher then telling me I would need to pay $1000. Truly believe this was dishonest and underhanded. Several times I had to specifically ask for responses to emails. One of the team members refused to respond and was frequently rude in her messages. Have previously refinanced without any difficulties

Better communication. I felt that Eva turned everything over to the other people and did not stay on top of the process. When I asked questions she always had to get back to me as she didn't know the answers. This was the second refi in less than 2 years with New American and I thought they should have had better information on me. I was not pleased with the first refi but I thought this should be much easier for them, but I guess I was wrong.

I didn’t hear from her much. This was by far the worst lending transaction I have experienced as a realtor. Teach everyone how to handle solar panel transfers. Tell them to take a breath. They were freaking out. Tracy Tran took over, because we couldn’t figure what in earth you all were doing. The title has to be completed prior to the transfer of names. I never really heard from Kaitlyn. We all got confused on our side including closing attorneys who even deal with solar panels.
