It may be because of the high demand for loans right now, but this process took a long time and New America funding was not proactive. They also misspelt my husband's name on some of the official paperwork..

Robert was FANTASTIC from the beginning until 48 hours prior to the scheduled close date. Some one made a major mistake, whether it was him, the processor or underwriter, but no one would simply explain what happened or what was happening. Robert lied to my face and told me the attorney forgot to pull title and that was the hold up. For 2 full days, myself, the attorney, the paralegal and his client, Lauree asked repeatedly for answers to no avail. I would never recommend Robert or this company.

This took way to long, started in the end of February 1st part of March and wasn't completed until the end of June.

I just feel the processing of the file was subpar and I had to be an active part of the loan to make it work. Additionally, documents were requested repeatedly after they were already provided and I had to start getting those same documents from my client and provide them to the processing team so they would not keep requesting them. There were just too many balls dropped during the processing of my client’s loan. Jeff was very nice and has a professional attitude, but that’s not enough.

Better communication. Updates were only received after several attempts to contact a team member. In the end, they got the job done, but the borrower also complained of the lack of communication.

My problem is with Cole... the person who took over my account from Jill. He was the worst. He did not respond to emails in a timely manner, it was nearly impossible to get him on the phone and once I did manage to get hold of him, the information he provided was either contradictory or inaccurate. My original loan close date was the end of May... Cole managed to string it along for several months with no real explanations. Just a horrible experience.
