I wish I could give them 0 stars. I am so severely disappointed in, not only the way my mortgage was (unsuccessfully) handled, but also with the severe lack of customer service after I was clearly wronged. We had to change our closing date 6 times over the course of 4 months and every time things came up that should have been taken care of much earlier in the process. The entire process felt extremely disorganized and frantic which, for a first time homebuyer, was very disorienting. I was left in the dark on multiple forms, was told to sign things I didn't understand, and was surprised with new fees every step of the way. After I decided to finally switch mortgage companies everything was buttoned up and we closed in a matter of a couple weeks. Finally, when all was said and done, Marketplace didn't even honor their closing guarantee to me, which states that if closing is delayed they will pay the buyer a fee. Avoid at all costs.

Like another person stated, that their mortgage process was delayed several times, and mishandled, that less than 14 hours of closing, we lost our home we were to close on. Only due to their errors. Interest rates had gone up, and our closing was pushed to the very end. We were so behind grief with everything. Totally packed, moving company reserved. All a bad dream. Thankfully we did find a much better, mortgage lender, and was smooth sailing into a different home that we had lost. Are we better off in this home, than the one we didn't close on? Well, considering how the closing also affected others down the line, as their home closings got messed up, I would have to say NO! We even wrote to the attorney general with our complaints. (which were handled very professionally.) I am still sadden that we lost the house that we feel in love with the first time.

I have had a contract on my home since March 11, 2018 and we were scheduled to close on April 20th, then April 30th, then May 11th and we have yet to close and although they keep saying they will be sending the clear to close it has not yet happened.

My fiance and I have had a very poor experience working with this lender. We met the loan officer at a bridal fair and he initially seemed knowledgeable, attentive, and motivated about assisting us through the first-time home buying process. Unfortunately this was not the case, and we received little to no communication, empty assurances, and ultimately wasted our time and delayed our home search significantly. When issues arose with our initially discussed pre-approval, our loan officer did not communicate any of these concerns with us for over 1 month despite us making numerous attempts to follow up via phone call, text, and email. When we were finally able to get a consultation scheduled, we discussed a plan to pursue another loan type. It has again been over 1 month since I have received any correspondence regarding this approval. The loan officer had assured he would also send us different price/monthly mortgage breakdowns for various loan types, which were never received. I have attempted to follow up numerous times, and have even sent additional notice we will be working with a new lender, and have not received ANY acknowledgement what so ever. It is unsettling to have provided additional personal/financial information to this provider and for them to have seemingly vanished. We have since pursued services with another lender, and have had wonderful communication and received the answers we needed in less than a week. If you are looking for a lender that will support your home buying needs, I would not recommend New American Funding.

Not sure if they’re aware they have an employee that makes light of gas chambers and nazism but they should probably handle that.

HORIBLE LENDER! I am located in St. Louis, MO. Inquired about getting a loan through New American Funding. I was assigned a broker (CM) He proceeded to credit check me. I'm thinking everythings going well then...He ups and ignores my text, call, and email. I did nothing wrong. All I was doing was waiting for him to tell me or send my preapproval (he never did). I think he saw I wasnt approved for much so I did not matter to him. I contacted New American Funding to see whats going on. His boss ignored me and all NEW AMERICAN FUNDING employees would not send me my preapproval AFTER THEY ALREADY CREDIT CHECKED ME. Do not wasted your time with this company, if you dont gave 500k to spend they dont care or want to talk to you.

Terrible ran my husband's and I'd credit with out our permission. Put a hard inquiry on both. They think it's funny and isn't responding to emails nor calls after I called initially on why she ran out credit with our speaking to us prior to get consent...I am filing a complaint on both our behalf with BBB
