I was given false information about how a soft credit check would be made. Instead a hard inquiry was made because they won’t give you interest rates & payment info without filling out an application first. Once you do that they run a hard inquiry. They won’t remove the inquiry either.

I felt Rebecca disrespected my mom. She always called, yelling at my mom like she didn't know anything, and she liked insulting her intelligence. She purposely chose a date for closing after my birthday and tried removing me off the loan with my mom. She rubbed in our faces that we were in a hotel and she had a house, family, and vacations. There was poor communication during the entire process and was always dishonest. We had to beg her to help us get the house we had to fight so hard to get.

I was refinancing because of the errors made on my mortgage 6 months ago. My closing documents were not sent so I had to wait 30 minutes. Then the payoff statement was wrong and didn’t reflect my July payment. So had to wait longer for that to be corrected. Then I signed a paper that said I had mortgage insurance and even had a date to be able to drop it. Get to end of closing and no mortgage insurance is included in my monthly payments. I am extremely dissatisfied with your company twice now.

I’m very disappointed in my experience with New American. The estimated fees and charges were severely understated by thousands of dollars. The cash out amount I signed at closing didn’t even end up being correct. I would never recommend using this lender.

I only received one or two e-mails from Jonathan. For some reason he communicated with the sellers agent and not me his buyers agent. That was something I have never had before. I felt out of the loop with my own client.
