Initially, Rob seemed great. However, as time went on, none of the paperwork matched his promises, it was all poo-poo'd with "trust me", and in the end the concerns expressed up front were what came to pass and he excused breaking his promises with efforts to blame us for the issues. If he had been more forthcoming up front, a lot of anxiousness and having to go above his head to his boss would have been avoided. I would not recommend Rob to deal with.

Communication and follow up. Several times tried calling only to get voicemail and return calls late if at all. At closing was told that we would receive a package with all the information for making a payment( Coupon Booklet) would be sent to us. Never received it. Now it Feb 3rd to find out an email was sent on the 9th of Jan that was time sensitive and has expired. Maybe a text or a phone call stating "Hey just sent you a time sensitive email" or something like that. Over promise and under de

Accountability and good Customer Service would have prevented the string of problems we had. No follow up and not honoring your word is an issue home buyers should be warned of. Only trustworthy individuals should aid families with their finances in important life changes.

Needs to increase timely processing of information. Must improve effective communication all required information when loans are being process. Efficiently reviewing information and providing timely responses. Delays that were created by these deficiencies caused increased costs. Lack of empathy. Should not be changing locked rates at will.

Our mortgage process did not go as Dan spelled out. We had to come up with an additional $20k 3 days before closing. Also, the communication about how to pay the second mortgage was completely inaccurate. Lastly my mortgage turned out to be over $400 more than the number I was told it would be. The number I was told was a conservative estimate that did not include the additional down payment that we had to come up last minute and we also based on $5k more than our actual purchase price.

I find it strange to begin with that every review for every loan office here on Zillow for New American Funding is 5 stars. I doubt if mine will be published.
I applied for a loan with Steve Brady at American Funding and also at my local Credit Union. I am selling my home to my daughter, as I am re-married and living in my husband's house. I only owe $140,000. It appraised last year for $540,000. I own two rental condos that are paid for. I don't even count those in my income. I am an RN still working, get social security, and a retirement pension. My credit scores per Steve Brady were all over 800. I have only one real debt after my house is sold which is a $370 car payment. I have no balances on credit cards, if I do the total is less than 300$. I told Steve obviously the loan is contingent on selling my house to eliminate that loan and he knew that because he sent an e-mail about it.
I was told I could not qualify for ANY amount. Why? My credit union has pre-approved a loan for a balance of $140,000. I plan on having a balance of closer to 50,000 . I would just like a reason from Steve Brady, and have asked with no answer, why I can not qualify for anything.
I really think New American Funding does not want to bother with a small loan amount. They also pretty much ignored responding to my application. It took them weeks.
Very poor service.
