We were both told to stop payment on our May Mortgage pmt check which was in the mail, that cost us $25. We were told that we would be skipping that pmt & June's with our 1st pmt due in July. When the loan was delayed a wk we were told to make the May pmt again asap & that Winston never told us to stop pmt! that it was our idea to skip a pmt! We were not happy with that comment nor the fact that we had to make the May pmt after paying a $25 fee to stop pmt. Otherwise, Winston did alright.

I felt there was a little lack of professionalism as in two email chains, Jay oddly labeled my husband and I to his colleagues. Once saying my husband was "not a decisive guy" and another time saying that we were "phone call people" going on to say we weren't responsive. I don't know if he doesn't care about his email forwards or is simply careless. Dealing with our loan however, Jay did an adequate job.

Really loved that Brittany made sure there were quick turnarounds and replied promptly via email. The only downside was the reaching out, updates, and being able to get NAF on the phone. The numbers provided were always hard to reach anyone and it would always go to voicemail. Interest rates are pretty high compared to other lenders. Thought we give NAF due to our agent's recommendation.

We've worked with New American Funding in the past and have always had great experiences. For this mortgage processing experience, we felt that attention to details (updating our agent information on our file, using the correct name when addressing someone in an email) and follow up emails could have been better. There were times where a day or two would go by with no updates, during a time where daily or twice-daily updates were critical to the processing of our loan.
