Our refinance took a really long time. We started in April and didn't finish until July. We've had a few friends that started the process after us and were done well before, averaging less than 30 days. We had to prompt for updates throughout the process and while we were responded to promptly and courteously, we felt like we always had to initiate updates. When we were emailed it would be after weeks and we would emergently need to sign something.

We didn’t deal with Lynn to refi our home, and the staff we did work with was incompetent and could never tell us the right information. New America with Lynn was a dream to work with the first time around. But the individuals who have been working for this company really wanted me to go somewhere else to refi our home

Sean was great explaining the rates and everything to begin with. He got me a rate I was good with for the refinance, however I found myself calling in multiple times regarding ETA on the process and completion process. My old load still has a balance that Sean, LaToyia and Janelle have all been involved with and have yet to get a clear understanding of why their is a delay with the remaining balance being funded and when to expect it to be completed. I’ve been told to not be concerned but I am.

Requests for documentation were excessive and spread out over a long period of time rather than requesting everything needed all at once. There was miscommunication and confusion regarding the secure site and account for e-signing and uploading documents. Many documents had to be scanned and emailed rather than uploaded through the secure site. The whole process took a very long time, complicated by the fact that we had three buyers.

Nice guy who did the best for us and worked late to get us the house we wanted. Although, I think there could have been a bit more communication. Due to covid, things were a bit crazy and we had a lot of moving parts and I felt maybe a bit more communication could have eased my nerves as a first time home buyer, but nice guy who will work hard to make you happy.

Knowing what paper work you need instead of everyday needing additional paperwork signed. Know thing I had to run to fedex to get this done since I am working from home and my printed was not working.Very furstrating. Seemed this refinance took a lot longer than my last refinance and when I originally bought by home.
