I’ve worked with Chao in the past and he was quick to respond and got back with my questions in a timely matter. This time around I’m not sure if the volume was high but I felt like there was a few hiccups with communication. At the end of the day, we were able to get refinanced.

We were overall ok with the experience...it seemed that the communication between employees of new American was not consistent at times. There also seemed to be little concern about sending private documents over the internet which was disappointing. We are glad everything got done and appreciate all the hard work. Thank you.

The process was unnecessarily burdensome. Whether this is a sign of the times or unique to this lender is unknown. Once to twice weekly emails arrived needing more and more data, more often duplicating data already submitted. After several delays we were penalized financially because we were in different cities when the loan finally was made available for signing.

Lack of consistent communication is the reason for my rating. I had to call and get status updates on my load application instead of the business contacting me. As they are being paid for a service, I should not have to do this. There was a 2 week period of time where I heard nothing, but this could have all been taken care of with a simple email or phone call stating that they are “still working on it”, and/or let me know what the hold up is, and/or tell me things are moving along.

Please make sure that communication is more often and accurate. I had a really bad experience for me to be a first time home buyer. My recommendation is to just make sure accurate and sufficient information is provided at all times.
