Bridgette was very helpful, but other staff at NAF made the overall experience unpleasant. They misplaced several documents - for example, my contractor had to send his COI 3 times. In particular, the underwriter assigned to our loan made some demands for documentation that were simply ridiculous, totally unnecessary. We almost missed our closing date due to last-minute demands. I understand and appreciate due diligence, but this underwriter went far beyond that.

Bridgette was pleasant to work with, helpful and courteous. There were times I wish communications were better. I think if cost estimates at the beginning were accurate instead of significantly lower, and if the closing estimates didn't change multiple times I would have rated my experience better. New American appealed to me because they were not going to sell my loan off to a big bank. I now have an opportunity to build a good relationship with my lender.

More communication. Especially when emailing documents to be signed. We where 1st time home buyers and would have liked a better explanation on the documentation. Other than that the process went smoothly.
