The estimate for taxes was way off than what it was. Also there were too many times that I had to come in for a wet signature instead of having them ready all on one or two days. This was inconveniant due to my work schedule.

more communication with us and with the title company. we were told NAF would only fund 90% of the appraised value after we had already finalized our offer with the seller. that made us spend $10k on downpayment/closing that we had set aside for repairs we knew would be needed. now those repairs have to wait until next year.

I was clear on what my specific needs were when I was first contacted by Nadder. I felt lead to believe these needs would be met. In the end, not one of my requests were met and I had to borrow a lot more money on the loan because of that.

The information I was given in the beginning was that it was a very quick and easy "streamline interest rate" change. It was more complicated than I expected and cost me over $1,000 for interest that I wasn't prepared for. In my opinion, the process should be more upfront with the details and treated less like a sale. Aside from that it's still an excellent mortgage company!

Bailey was not our original loan officer. We were never informed our original loan officer was no longer with the company until I asked about it. The process took a lot longer than what we were originally told it would take. There were many issues along the way that could have been avoided if communication from New American Funding was better.

I was unaware the cost to refinance would be so high. If I'd known I would spend nearly $5k to get 3/4th of a point I wouldn't have done it. It's like a year's worth of payments just disappeared.
