Most amateur Bank ever. I don't even know where to start but I'm glad I stopped.

Scott, I really do not wish to discuss anything further with you or North American Funding. I expressed to you my disappointment and frustration with the first loan in which I indicated I did not wish to pay off my car or make any payments to a credit card in which I was only an authorized user. You said, "don't worry I will take care of it." I also requested an impound account with taxes and insurance, you said, "no problem." When I arrived to sign the closing documents, there was no impound account, the closing disclosure was a mess and honestly I never received a closing disclosure prior to meeting the notary and they also informed me that I was required to pay the car and the card. The loan took much longer than you indicated, which may be due to Covid, however all of the other items were unacceptable. You knew you had me between a rock and a hard place. So basically I was f***ed because I needed to pay the contractor. You advised me prior to closing this loan, that you could refinance my primary residence, you quoted me 3%. Then when I was sent the initial documents, I saw there were points. Once again I called you frustrated and once again you basically lied straight up and said oh no, it will be 3.25% without points. But you and I both know the truth. I should have been done with it then, but you told me it would take a matter of 3 DAYS since you already had all my documentation. I thought to myself, I really do not want to have to start over and produce documents again. So I continued, 1 MONTH LATER when the lock had actually expired, Paula and Mary sent me the closing disclosures at 5:00 pm Friday, on Sunday at 10:00 am the notary arrives with a completely different set of closing disclosures, so we compared the two and that's when I said to myself, f*** me once, I am f***ed, f*** me twice, f*** you. Honestly, I find you to be a swindler. In my business we call them seedy and we sue them for malpractice. I don't know what happens in the mortgage world, and frankly at this point I don't care. If you would like me to go into further detail as I did with the notary I am happy to break the numbers down for you how it would save me $137 a month (WOW), when you stated I would be saving close to $500 and in return take me 91 months (7.5 years) to recoup the costs. Sound like a good deal to you?? Shame on you. It honestly kills me to know that you have done this to many vulnerable people who have no experience and I have come later to find out from several of my close friends on the real estate side that I am not the first and I am sure I will not be the last. I do not wish to discuss further.

Google Review: After several weeks of Diego having all necessary information, he finally got back to us with a verbal pre-approval. He let us know he had to check on how the taxes were split for the two homes we wanted to purchase, hence only getting a verbal approval at that time. When he told us the taxes would prevent him from approving us for the two homes on one parcel, he never specified that we would no longer be approved at all. I’ve been calling and texting Diego for a week trying to get a final answer on if we are approved, since he did say we were. Now we are forced to renew our lease rather than buying a home right now because he wasted so much of our time. It’s not about if we got approved or not, he still should’ve let us know before completely ghosting us. I do not recommend working with New American Funding and I would highly encourage you to not work with Diego, unless you have time to waste and the energy to deal with his lack of professionalism.

Worst experience I've ever encountered! Huge lack of communication. Unavailability due to his personal life. Unprofessional with his performance and phone calls. Routinely heard profanity from his background and constant lighting of cigarettes. Said he would call back when in front of computer and NEVER call back. Did not answer questions specifically asked. Have incorrect info. The list goes on.

I had to request a liaison to communicate because John never clearly communicated what was expected or needed from us. When there was communication from John directly, he spoke condescendingly and was extremely rude.

Review by Victoria Pettinato for Paul Haynes

Would take days to respond to me and my buyer and the title company and then have a remark that he is quick to respond. Disappeared for 2-3 weeks with no response, no voicemail set up, no vacation response. Called customer service to learn the 'entire team' was on vacation. yet no one informed me or the buyer or the title co of this matter so we were all left stranded with no updates or communication. Was told the manager would call me..hector gonzalez. Never received a call to this day. Only person that was responsive (and it wasnt even in her job description) was Lekeshia Cunningham who deserves a 5 star review for picking up the slack of this whole loan team. Thank you Lekeshia.
