There was very little communication from Scott or his team. If it weren't for Maci, we would have stayed in the dark. I would not recommend him to my worst enemy!

This lender did not close on time. She wasn’t very pleasant to work with. The client had to send documents multiple times and the closing was delayed due to a Power of Attorney needed and at closing they changed items that were paid off and still charged my client.

Absolutely no communication in a timely matter. Would send things to the client that she did not understand and not let me know anything about any of it until she would reach out. Confused. I would ask him questions about progress and he might reply conditional and that is all. We still did not know until the day of closing if she had a clear to close even though he said we could schedule it. Did not get alta approved until after the scheduled closing time. Everything was delayed and no one was sure it was even going to get funded. You could ask title company about their thoughts and I am sure you will be asking buyer. Very unprofessional. Never felt he had buyers best intrest at heart

The day of closing was a DISASTER! The most important day of my life, the purchase of my first home, was the most stressful EVER. I was literally in tears. The tears were a result of lack of communication from Marco. I ended up owing $1100 more at closing, because Marco guesstimated the amount due. The end result was positive due to the attorney’s compassion & empathy, not Marco or his “supervisor”! I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. I will be sharing on all social media platforms the less than professional service that my mother and I received

Inconvenient and inconsistent proper correspondence. Pertinent information was either never given or was not given in a timely manor. Would never again take a phone call with this person again as you will only get lip service. And you will find issues later on to what you talked about over the phone changing on you. Jeff seems pleasant to talk to and will email you back. However he did poorly on returning phone calls and relaying information related to timelines in advance so that fees or prices would not change. I like Jeff as a person to talk to but not to use as a professional in this field.

It was the worst first time home buying experience. Communication was great in the beginning but it drastically fell off and we were left holding the short end of the stick. They didn’t properly communicate the funds needed to close the loan. They didn’t call to lock our rate. They didn’t communicate a lot of things you’d think a mortgage loan officer or processor should communicate. The experience was so bad we told them to cancel the transaction. Our real estate agent seller’s agent heard of the news and weren’t happy at all. They decided to bring the extra funds needed to close the loan. All in all I definitely will not be referring, recommending, refinancing, my home or any one to do busy without this lender or the team I worked with New American Funding. They truly dropped the ball.

First of all a complete lack of communication. Would be told I would receive a call and never did. Had to jump immediately when something was requested but waited for days for a response. Then dealing with one person on the east coast and one on the west coast when you work second shift and they don't communicate together is impossible. The rates went up so fast that I was stuck with this company. When the loan was first approved, there were no points being charged. But because the "appraiser" that they hired took so long they decided to charge me a lock fee and also raised my interest rate. Loan officer said he understood it was not my fault and would surrender his wage to help cover it but of course never happened. Just a terrible company to deal with all the way around and will be refinancing as soon as possible!
