We had to constantly call for updates and weren’t able to close on time because he didn’t send the proper paperwork in time even though the closing date was set 30 day before.

I have never worked with a worse agent before in all my years of being a realtor. The communication was subpar going days before he responded to emails. Asking my buyer client for the same documents daily. Even waited until 2 weeks before we were supposed to close before starting the mortgage process even though he had the file 6 weeks before we were to close which resulted in me having to ask for 2 extensions. We had to get a managers manager involved in the file in order to close. Worse company ever!

If i could put zero stars i would. from the beginning of the process they knew our job situations (as we just graduated college) and ensured us it wouldn’t matter. We sent them everything needed the day they needed it (being ridiculously large amount of things) regardless of school, work, or just everyday life. They assured us that we were all done and set to close on friday as they TEXTED us on wednesday to tell us they don’t think it’s going to happen then called thursday to fully cancel on us. The worst part is we were assured multiple times to give a 30 day notice to our apartment because we “have the house” for them to cancel on us the day before closing and us to be told our apartment has already been leased to someone else. Instead of having sympathy or anything we were told “i hate that for you guys” as they were on vacation in mexico. Also we were told the manager knew weeks ago we shouldn’t be approved and no one told us. Just not reliable people they will leave you homeless the day before closing.

Worst experience ever. Would put zero stars if an option. Fell out on us the day before closing.

Would rate 0 stars if possible. I'm a realtor and have heard nothing but bad things about this company. We were in a transaction where the lender blatantly lied to myself, our mutual clients as well as the selling party in the transaction. We were assured multiple times the buyers were approved and clear to move forward as well as pay for appraisals and pay to terminate their current renters agreement. For weeks we were told they were approved for the purchase and that they had "clarification". Less than 24 hours before closing day the branch manager called to let us know that they could not in fact approve them and admitted to the mistakes that they had made but refused to reimburse anyone for anything. Meanwhile the original lending officer was posting pictures on social media of having a good ol time on their vacation in Cancun Mexico. Will update review if they resolve this issue.

No Communication, my realtor and I called the team so many time with no calls returned. I was not sure about to clear to close until after closing day. My closing was june 3 but the their closing processor did not get things started til june 2 afternoon. I needed to send the estimated fund instead of actual since i was not sure. Then could not make it on closing then needed to delay it til june 6 which caused trouble to all party involved. No communication til 12 hour before closing, and can’t get it done. come on that is ridiculous. And cherry on top i got email that they lost some of my documents after closing so i need to sign and mail them again. Honestly i was about to get ulcer from stress

Review by Bertha Cordova Hernandez for Ivan Carrasquero

Completed transaction on June 9, 2022

My process with New American Funding was a NIGHTMARE!!!! Ivan Carrasquero, the consultant that handled my loan application, was very unprofessional and unsupportive. Throughout the entire process I felt as if Ivan was setting me up to fail. He also misinformed me on several occasions which, at times, felt intentional. For example, he referred me to an "accountant" to issue the profit and loss statement that you require but when I reached out, they stated that they were tax preparers not CPA's, but this is the scary part; the lady he referred me to, wanted me to give her my bank information, including pin number OVER THE PHONE!!!!! Needless to say I didn't fall for it and emailed her the information instead. Once I had all the documentation ready for the loan application, Ivan told me that I was pre-aproved for the loan and that I could submit my offer for the house that I was planning to purchase. Trusting Ivan, I submitted the $2,500 in earnest money and a date was set to close. Days after the appraisal was scheduled and again I had to pay to rush it and whenever I inquired about it Ivan was never available to talk, I even have proof of unanswered texts, then an unexpected inspection was requested and without hesitation I had it done, just to find out days later that I was not approved for the loan. This was very disconcerting because, between the time Ivan informed me that I could submit my offer on the house and the notification that I was not approved the communication was scarce, same with her so called assistant Klarisa. I was left in the dark in regards to reasons I was denied and unprofessionally handled everything through text messages and was never able to take my calls. My realtor had to escalate the situation to a higher level and that's when things turned out good thanks to the branch manager Maui Parra whom professionally assisted me, she then requested more documentation and I found out that Ivan failed to request it. His actions deepen the belief that he never had any intentions to successfully assist his client. Once I truly had all the documentation completed, submitted, I was approved for the loan and was able to purchase the house. This experience was very time consuming and extremely draining and cannot fathom with the unprofessionalism of Ivan Carrasquero. I hope no one else has to deal with someone like him who can potentially may make home buyers loose money. He NEVER cared for the fact that I could loose my earnest money, payment for appraisal, inspection, $600 for a profit and loss statement!! and just because ITIN loans are handled differently. Really??? I hope this helps to somebody and if you need to contact me for additional information I'll be glad to provide it because I tried to be short but there is more.

Review by Melissa Clowers for Sonia Zin

Completed transaction on June 6, 2022

Sonia was very unprofessional and not dependable during the entire process. If she needed something she would text or call you over and over but if we needed anything she was not available and always had her notifications silenced. She spoke very rudely to both myself and my client. She was out of town for over two weeks and never let us know and kept canceling appointments with my client. My client felt very frustrated and unhappy with Sonia as well. He felt like she talked down to him and did not have time to help him. Toward the end of the contract someone complained about Sonia to her manager (it was not me) and Sonia called and text me begging me to send her manager an email telling them that she was doing a good job and that she had gone above and beyond for my client and myself. I did not do that as I do not feel she should receive a false statement as she was asking. I will never refer anyone to her again and if they already have a pre approval from her I will ask that they use a different lender. This transaction was a nightmare and the closing was delayed several times and Sonia would never let us know when she thought she would be ready to close due to sickness and being out of town. Sonia has been my worst lender to date. Even my title company said she is hard to deal with and they prefer not doing closings with your lender due to her. She is definitely giving your company a bad reputation.
