NEW AMERICAN FUNDING is the WORST most UNPROFESSIONAL business I have EVER dealt with. They will RUIN your credit during the application process. They will make you breach contract and they WILL pretend it’s not THEIR fault. They will not own any of the mistakes they make, and will have your head SPINNING by the time closing is near. (If you breach contract the seller of the house you are buying CAN walk away with no if ands or buts). The sellers agent can KEEP your deposit and any other money you put into the house. NEW AMERICAN FUNDING knows this and they DO NOT care. They are extremely invasive and require you give them information they DO NOT need. They have a HUGE turn around rate (with employees) and they will bounce you around to 5+ different people before the loan even goes through. And every time they pass you off, the new person isn’t made aware of where you are in the loan process. You then have to start everything over again. Not to mention they are IMPOSSIBLE to get in touch with. You have to nearly HARASS them to answer any questions you have. Their customer service is AWFUL. And when you request a supervisor it takes WEEKS for one to reach out to you. They constantly add more and more “fees” into everything. Our interest rate went up 3 different times during our process because the idiot working on our loan “unlocked” our rate every time he could. (A higher interest rate brings them more money in the long run). I was told by my realtor, and many other professionals who work in finance that this company is HORRIBLE, and that they have never heard of half of the b***s*** they require. PLEASE listen to this and STAY AWAY from NEW AMERICAN FUNDING. They will make the entire home buying process HELL.

Matthew lacked in communication. Matthew had little patience with us. Very unprofessional. He constantly lied to us regarding closing. Had to involve supervisor to see results. He was the worst. Would NEVER refer. Don't get involved with this company!

I first reached out New American on May 11th about purchasing a home in Texas. The initial Loan Officer I dealt with was pleasant and direct. When our home search changed to Arkansas, I let him know and he said he wasn't able to work on Loans for Arkansas, but that his manager could. He asked me for some additional info (pay stubs, W2's) and sent my file over Shevell to reach out to me. At that time, I told him that we had put an offer on the house in Arkansas, and we were on the clock. A week passed and we heard nothing Shevell. Finally I had to track her down in order to get her working on my file. From there she told me that we could get the deal done, and get us closed by July 1st, and we started working on things, I paid for Appraisal, and thought we were off to the races. A few days later she emails me (doesn't even call) and tells me there is an issue KAIVRS and couldn't get clear to proceed. After spending hours trying to get her on the phone, finally I was able to speak with her, and I told her that I would take care of the issue, and to not cancel anything, because I didn't want to miss our close date. She assured me that she wouldn't cancel or close anything, and I told her I would follow up in a few days once KAIVRS issue was resolved. She canceled our appraisal anyway. And when I called her back to let her know that we would be clear to move forward, she didn't return my call until five days later, and that was once again by email. In fact any issue that came up, I was the one that had to run her down. I was and her refusal to return calls costs us weeks in closing, and put in a position where we had sold our house 3 weeks before we were able to close on our new house. Which resulted in me spending almost 4500 in AirBNB and Hotel costs. None of that mattered to her, and it wasn't until I demanded an escalation, that things really picked up. While New American as a company was okay, I would never ever do business with Shevell ever again, and I found her to unprofessional, and nearly incompetent.
