Very poor to little communication, would not keep me updated on the status of my loan. My emails, phone calls, and texts all got ignored, it’s not my job to repeatedly ask for information that they are getting paid to do. Overall I WILL NOT AND WONT recommend this company.

Stay Away. Charity is condescending, rude, tells clients that she has to take care of others. My son and I were going though her to get a VA loan. My son is Vet and I am not. She told us it was a difficult process. Even a couple of weeks after submitting our application and other required forms Charity still could not tell us how much we qualified for nor provide us with a VA preapproval letter. She even told me I had to claim higher on my taxes on what she said I would need to qualify. We went to another lender told her my son and I were cobuying. Her first words was Lets run your son first. Boom! She said that my son qualified on his own without my income with 24 hours. Charity didn't think once to run my son first. Even though she said we had to start with him. Charity cost me more in income taxes and we lost a house we wanted to purchase. I have everything in emails and texts to back up this review.

Terrible, terrible service from Ivan Carrasquero. If you don't want to risk your money DO NOT go to him. If you don't want to lose your money, don't talk to Ivan Carrasquero

I read lots of positive reviews about the new American funding company and I corrected David Lee to apply for a mortgage.After first call he told we will be qualified based on our situation but after pull out our credits he told he needs more documentation and after I sent him, No response!! Our credit was +790 and we got pre- approved from other lenders. Do not wast your credit score and time with this unprofessional loaner.

I applied to New American Funding about three months ago and have heard back from them about 4 times with excuse after excuse about why they haven't accomplished anything with my application. When I applied online I was not assigned to any local office. I live in Florida but was contacted by someone in California, Jason Baumhover. This company claims to do what traditional banks won't regarding mortgages as per this statement online at nerd wallet: "New American Funding offers FHA and VA loans, works with down payment assistance programs, and seeks borrowers whose credit histories don't fit the mold of traditional banking..." I can tell you that after informing him that I was a self employed contractor he carefully accused me of providing him with a falsified employment letter for my application. After a few weeks I tracked him down to see where I stood in the application process and he told me that his "team" (which I believe is just him and a laptop computer) was working on it. A few weeks later I spoke to him again and he told me that he couldn't get in touch with my new employer. It appears that his "team" doesn't have international calling on their phone lines and could not call my employer, so they had to e-mail him. A few weeks later I contacted him again and he emailed me back saying that his wife was pregnant in the hospital and he wasn't in his office for a couple of weeks, ARE YOU SERIOUS? That is not a valid excuse to not follow through with an application, if you're a serious business you should have a backup plan. So nothing has ever come of this application and I don't expect anything to come of it, except that ever since I put in that application it seems as though my personal information has been compromised as someone else has also mentioned in these reviews prior to me. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I am looking into filing a formal complaint against them.

BEWARE OF BAIT AND SWITCH TACTICS I cancelled the contract due to unauthorized charges being added at the last minute. This is the last email I sent to this company... Dear Shanna, Gaby and Supervisors; Imagine if you will, that it is your wedding day and you have been planning and preparing for it for 6 months and you believe that you and your groom are completely on the same page and then, as you are standing in front of the priest to say your vows, you receive a text from someone, letting you know that your intended has deceived you. He has done something that you had no idea of and would not have approved of if you did know. Now, here you are with an audience watching, under pressure to say yes and just follow through with the vow exchange, but you are confused and disturbed by this last minute information. But because all eyes are on you, you go ahead and say your vows, hoping that you can talk to your new groom after the ceremony and resolve this concern in a way that inspires your trust. It was a mistake, a misunderstanding...you hope... and in good faith believe that you will be able to work through it to a mutual resolution. However, after the ceremony, you try to discuss it with your groom, but to your surprise and sadness, he tells you that he already informed you of this information, when you know he did not, he stalls answering you while the clock runs out and then completely ignores your ultimatum that you will annul the marriage if he does not resolve the discrepancy. You know you are being gaslighted. Now, you are even more concerned and now you are angry. So, you inform him that you have annulled the marriage and then a few days later, he sends you the ticket for the honeymoon. Would you want to continue being married to this person at this point? How could I better explain how I feel? We had an agreement. The agreement was changed without my knowledge on the closing day. I protested and explained that I would cancel the agreement if my concerns were not resolved in a very crystal clear way. When no one had called me to tell me that the unauthorized percentage point and lender fee were to be removed by the 5:00 pm deadline, I mailed the written right to cancel forms to New American Funding at 4:48 pm on December 10th. It was sent priority express mail with signature for receipt required. It was scheduled to arrive yesterday by 3:00 pm and I will check to see that it did. My loan is not funded. I have exercised my right to cancel the contract as I no longer have any faith in the integrity of your company. Sincerely, Julie Hill

STAY AWAY!!!! Made me bend over backwards applying for a loan submitting documents, answering phone calls, etc. over 2 week period. Initial loan officer told me I was approved pending final review, then disappeared. His "manager" then stepped in after multiple inquiries to tell me I was not approved. SCAM!!!!!!!!
