New American Funding Reviews

I am a young adult that was surfing Credit Karma to just curiously explore some loan options for first time home-owners and started to inquire through New American Funding. I was expecting to just get some results of options or information on my current standing through the credit karma app but instead I received a phone call from them. When I answered, I was forwarded, without question, to Ruth. I honestly was not in the proper location to be on a phone call nor was I looking to buy a house soon so I asked if possible could I reach back out later when I am in a better position to buy a home. Ruth began to question me asking, “Well if you said you’re curious about options for first time homeowners, how do you now say you’re not ready to get that information for another year?”. She then goes on to condescendingly say that if she was in my position and had someone with “her expertise offering help that she would take it. I was not rude to her whatsoever and honestly I was caught off-guard by the phone call in the first place, and then to go on to say that I should be taking her advice when I expressed reaching out later felt patronizing. This being my first experience with any loan officer honestly left a bad taste in my mouth. I just hope this is not the experience other people inquiring for information as first time buyers are experiencing from this company.

This transaction was a nightmare. Poor communication, low execution, no sense of urgency. I'd never recommend this team again. The worst transaction in my entire Real Estate career. My client felt discriminated and was super stressed.

Not one did I speak to him on the phone he never answered. He said we would be able to remove contingencies a certain date it never happened. I spoke mostly to his assistant.

Horrible communication, I had to call and/or email several times before getting a response from him; my home purchase took approximately 3 months, should have been 3 weeks. He missed deadlines, "forgot" things, constantly gave me misinformation, locked in an incorrect (higher) rate than should have been locked, literally changed my CD that I signed the night before my closing, it was completely different on the day of. I was originally supposed to close on August 10th, it kept getting pushed back and pushed back, to the point I had to be out of my apartment and had no choice but to stay in a hotel for 8 days at $130/night. This was absolutely the worst experience of my life! I should have been ecstatic and proud to be a first time homeowner, and instead I was frustrated and emotionally exhausted from the entire experience! I will not only NEVER recommend NAF to anyone, I am going to report the experience to the State Financial Bureau so they can get involved and make sure this never happens to anyone else again. I have tried, unsuccessfully, to work with Danny Queener to get some relief from the inconveniences and frustrations I endured during the process, and he only made it worse! He made promises he did not keep, never followed up with me unless I bombarded him with calls and emails, showed no empathy whatsoever for what I was dealing with, and basically lied to me throughout the process giving me lame excuse after lame excuse as to why things were not moving along as they should have. I have several friends that are in the real estate and mortgage industry, and I have been assured that my expectations are not anything abnormal, and Robert and Danny's actions are completely unacceptable.

I have tried working with Jonathan Saucedo and his lack of communication has forced me to use a different company.

I worked for NAF for 2 years. I was laid off with absolutely no warning due to the market shift. After work one day a complete stranger from NAF called me and explained I was laid off and that today was my last day. I asked if I did anything wrong and she assured me I was an excellent employee, but NAF couldn’t afford to keep me because of the slow market. Which I understood, work had been very slow for a couple months. Immediately afterwards I saw on LinkedIn that the top producing loan officers were taking on an all inclusive trip to Hawaii.Several months later I saw on Indeed that my old branch was hiring for my old position. So I applied, and the recruiter, Jessica Zazueta, informed me that I was a shoe in and that she’d be in contact with me. A week passed and I emailed her for an update and a timeframe I could expect to hear back from her, she said they were wrapping up interviews and she’d call soon. Two weeks later I emailed her again, but she never responded. A few days later I called and left a message, no response. Over the next couple of weeks I tried getting in contact with her, but she never responded. Eventually I reached out to my old manager, who said she hired someone else. I wasted so much time waiting for a response, I turned down other opportunities because I thought I was a “shoe in” all because the recruiter didn’t have the respect to inform me the position had been filled. You’d think a recruiter would be used to doing this, but apparently I wasn’t worth her time even though I was so dedicated to this company. This company doesn’t see employees as people. I don’t recommend working here.

I am not sure why everyone who left a rating got the 5 star service? I did not. As most people know gathering all of your financial info to get a refi is no walk in the park. After our initial contact with Jake and providing this information a few weeks went by. I called and got voice mail. A few more days and sent an email. 2 more weeks another call to voice-mail. Followed by email. After a month I called the office. That night I got a sorry email saying my financial info went to his junk mail. I replied and said to move ahead. No response so I called again and yep you got it voice-mail. I followed with another email and again voice mail only. So sad. If you couldn't help me why did you waste my time! And oh ya interest rates went up in the mean time. Mann mortgage doesn't need your business ??
