They did not follow up and we had to push the closing date. The communication was not present and I had to follow up several times to get updates. It was a lot of waiting then all of the sudden had to sign everything within a few hours to move the process along. The rate was unnegotiable. I felt coerced into using the home owner insurance that was chosen for me and super expensive. Once the closing was done that was the first thing that was changed. There is more I am unable to add.

I have worked with Bob before and he is very knowledgeable and responsive. His staff is not so much and did not seem to communicate with him properly. It led to stalling and a missed closing, which was extremely stressful, frustrating, and difficult. Once Bob was involved it was solved. I am not sure I would go with NAF again. I would potentially go back to using a Credit Union.

I'm glad he could make our somewhat unconventional loan happen (staying in our house while financing a new build), but it was excrusiatingly frustrating because we had no idea, after waiting an extremely long time for our permits (4 months) that our loan, which we were pre-approved for, would take almost another 4 mos. to complete (with us paying $2500/mo. on our interest only land loan). It's been a year now that we bought our land and we thought we'd be in our new home by now, but with very little communication on the timeline of our loan or what was happening or taking so long (vague), it was just a frustrating process.

NEW AMERICAN FUMBLING We had to sign closing papers 3 separate times! All because of typos. The typos were not corrected because of a complete and total lack of communication within their own system. They do have some employees that really try and that really care though.

communication was excellent until it came time to close. I did not appreciate being told on more than one occasion the loan was "CLEAR to Close" when it was in fact Not.
