I’ve had a disappointing experience with this company based in California, despite them being licensed in Texas. Their lack of knowledge and expertise led to subpar service. Managers and staff often provided contradictory information, stalled progress, and had poor communication. I encountered numerous issues, including inconsistent responses and unfulfilled promises. Based on my experience, I would advise caution if considering their services.

They just ghosted me for almost 2 weeks. My debts are past due and my credit score has taken a beating dealing with these people. Apparently my loan officer is no longer available and I don't get a sense that any of this matters to them. No communication either way is the root of this problem. As of this minute I can't get anybody on the phone to tell me the current status of the process. A ya or na would have done, instead I have been waiting on them and now I'm at the point where I couldn't qualify for anything else because of the hammering of an already scorched credit score. They just don't care when they don't care.

i applied for a pre approval and i was called 15 times in 2 days. They were calling after 8pm and before 8am. I no longer want to work with this company as i am being harassed at this point.

I relocated to the area and started looking to get a small place for my family. I got connected to this company through my realtor and I didn’t bother checking with others because my realtor talked highly about a person who works at the office, Jason. He was great person to work with. The problem started as soon as he forwarded my paperwork to the finance department. Now, I know the system wasn’t designed to serve people who look like me first place but some people are on a mission to make it harder. First, they wanted me to confirm my income from the United States Army Reserves by logging on to the Army website through a link they provided me with. When I bought a house before, the W2s and tax return information was only thing they required. This company asked me to compromise the government website because they don’t think the W2s and tax returns are appropriate documents or they don’t know . I told them that I cannot do that and dropped it off after multiple emails exchanges. And then I got an email from a person by the name of Melanie part of it reads as follows, "AND a Letter of explanation as to why he changed jobs! ??" Melanie. People change jobs because they are not privileged to have a career. I have been here 10 years. I am a former refugee and yes I have changed jobs for better job and pay. I might have appreciated a more appropriate and professional email. Finally, I had to withdraw all together. These issues are not something that can prevent you from working with the company. For me, I care about trust and honesty, everything else can be fixed but trust might take time to do so. And I wouldn’t do a long-term business with people I cannot trust. If you are like me, who wanted to have a business based on trust and dignity, look somewhere else. This place won’t deliver that. I am writing this because if I don’t, they won’t know and if then don’t know they won’t change.

Poor communication. Does not keep you informed of what’s going on. Ask for a ton of documents, goes MIA until you reach out to them, then asks for more info. Never ending process.

NOT THE BRENTWOOD LOCATION I took out a HELOC through New American Funding. I was told it was going to be a certain amount and asked specifically if I only take out (X) amount, can I take the rest later? They said yes. The money came in and it was not the correct amount. The first person, Greg Martinez, would not return my calls, texts, or emails. A month later I called to talk to someone else. I explained the issue to Nic Keep and the manager Tom DeCoro, as well as another manager. I was told they would check the phone calls to see what happened. They disappeared after that. No communication. I wasted almost $2000 because of the fees, just to close my account and go somewhere else that has really great communication. I am extremely disappointed in how they handled an issue their employee caused by giving the wrong information. Ignoring clients is not a good look.

definitely do not recommend this bank. When you’re buying a home, they surround you with advice and promises, but when you actually need real financial help, all they offer is a “hardship” plan that just delays your payments for a couple of months and then demands everything at once. Stay away from this bank.

The actual worst experience of my life . Ended up getting screwed over in the end paying more a month than we had talked about the entire process but then was told by them that they never told us that number and played dumb because they messed up, instead of just owning it and apologizing Scott just gaslighted us saying we were making stuff up and that he never said that even tho him and Diana told us that specific number MULTIPLE times . Just liars who just tell you one thing till the end to get you to buy it so they can make money off of you. Pitiful
