Had a really terrible experience from this company. They gave me a pre-approval and then after I already had an accepted offer and ready to get the appraisal ordered the loan officer Natasha Crowell said she could no longer approve my loan and oops and so sorry???? Um what? I don’t think so. I don’t recommend such untrustworthy practices!

I was very unhappy with the way my loan was handled. Unfortunately due to how far into the process was and the need to close ASAP I had no choice but to keep using NAF. I had questions about things and asked for phone calls and no one called. I received requests for documents and no information why. I would have liked a more personal experience that explained the processes and steps. My original loan officer was more hands on than Erek. I feel Kellie was also non existent. I had nearly no personal interaction with her. She sounded confused and unsure of what step we were on when I did speak to her. Between title company, NAF and the realtor, no one knew what page the other was on. NAF cost me more money because of their inept staff. I had a higher interest rate because no one handled switching my loan officer when she was let go. I had to spend more money to secure that higher interest rate because NAF couldn’t schedule my appraisal sooner. I had no choice but to continue with your garbage tier service or risk losing our home. No consideration was given to my closing date needs. I’m just a small borrower that is just a number in your book. I had to pay thousands of dollars for this bad service. I’ll be very vocal to anyone I speak with about avoiding this company. I will actively seek out to post comments and reviews on any forum I can to let people know to avoid NAF at all costs. Completely unhappy and felt like I am paying for your terrible service skills.

Worst company ever to try to refinance your home it’s not even this company it’s the company they work with to get the foundation certified be careful and ask what are the requirements you need or they will charge you even though you don’t close contract. They didn’t send nobody to take pictures it was me sending them everything that they ask for. Had a hard time trying to do everything they ask for and still didn’t get the foundation approved. I apply somewhere else to get refinance and got approved in less then a week I don’t recommend this company just for the company they work with to the certification

This was the worst experience I ever had. I am a first time home buyer and the loan officer Kay Grice and the processor Marie was not on the same accord. The loan officer got me to pay for an appraisal before I was even approved for the home. The day of my closing I was told by the loan officer that I couldn't get the home due to my business not being two years even though I filled my business for four. In addition she told me that they couldn't contact my previous landlord. So I asked why did she get me to pay for an appraisal before approval she stated she didn't want to delay anything. Then after we hung up the processor called to update me on the status. I told her I was already told I was denied. The processor ask me who told me that because she was not aware. I informed her the loan officer so she told me she will call me back. After that the people who suppose to contact the previous landlord called me. I informed them I'm was the tenant. They apologize and hung up. So to say I was denied and they took my funds they was extremely unorganized when it came to me. I would never recommend them to anyone. They made my experience horrible.

My loan manager, Damien, was largely inaccessible and non-communicative for days at a time (both phone and email). Each time he would check on something, it took days to get information about what next steps were needed. He also continually said he would reach out, touch base, or finalize something by a deadline--that he then repeatedly failed to meet. He would promise that he could do something or make something work, but then he couldn't because of some new information or form needed. My closing took so long and had to be rescheduled so many times that my seller almost backed out entirely. Very disappointing, and would NOT recommend. The only bright light was my final processor, Diana. She was the only competent person I worked with at NAF. She was quick to reply to emails and new what she needed and when she would have answers for me. She saved my deal.

I had a terrible personal experience with this company in terms of communication and felt misled about the costs associated with their products. Some key highlights of my experience: Two weeks prior to my closing, I followed up and discovered that my loan approval had expired, a fact missed by NAF. Despite daily updates over the next two weeks, they couldn't complete my re-approval, putting my home deposit at serious risk. The loan officer was unhelpful, merely stating they were working on it. It wasn't until the night before my closing that it became clear they wouldn't get it done. I had to track down upper management myself, who seemed uninformed about the situation. Thankfully, they managed to resolve it, but only after my heavy involvement, which felt like a second job. If you use this mortgage company, you need to be heavily involved in the process to ensure you close on time and properly. They made no attempt to make it right, such as a call from a manager or a discount on some part of the service. Separately, if you use some of their financial products like NAF Cash (where the mortgage company buys the home for you with cash and you take a mortgage after), make sure you read the contracts in detail. I foolishly trusted a conversation with their representative, who communicated that the total cost of the product would be 2.7% with the closing fees and rent while you wait for the mortgage to buy the home from them. Later, I learned that this was only part of the closing fees, resulting in a surprising bill at the end of having to pay for closing costs twice on my property. This one is on me, but with such a highly-rated company as NAF, I expected to trust their word on their financial products. I learned again that it's important to never trust an organization solely based on their reputation, and my experience with NAF would reinforce that for me.

I had high expectations at the beginning of the refinance process, as the team initially seemed attentive and committed. However, as things progressed, I encountered numerous issues. Many of the figures I was given were inaccurate or exaggerated, and there was a significant lack of communication. I found myself constantly having to follow up to get updates, as there didn’t seem to be a feedback loop in place. The communication breakdown between the loan processor and senior loan officer was apparent, causing unnecessary delays and inefficiencies. It took three attempts just to complete the notary process. Despite repeated requests for the loan processor to meet with me and clarify the numbers, this never happened. Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend this company to others. This process left me with no trust in the people I worked with, and I regret choosing this organization for my refinance. I worked with Jason Lambert and Marlo Anderson -worse combination ever !!!

Communication was often rushed, with limited effort to provide thorough explanations.
