Would have liked more communication. When asked what to extend the closing date to, I got a I have no idea answer. Which is really frustrating. An answer like I think I can get it done by this “date” would have been better. But leaving it up in the air when we were suppose to close in 5 days is frustrating. All the communication wasn’t until the end and we started to get the updates on the loan. Example: your loan is at stage 4 for final underwriting. Like where was 1-3?

The issue I had was communication between Zach and the Underwriter. The underwriter made the process completely complicated.

Just to be clear, Tom was, for all intents and purposes, not my loan officer. I had very limited communications with Tom and that communications was always a boilerplate text or e-mail. Mark Cooper was and is my loan officer and Mark really was terrific. I have no complaints about Tom, but had very limited communications with Tom so I can't honestly give Tom a high rating. On th other hand, the entire team, including Tom Mark, Leslie and everyone else at New American exceeded expectations.

I would have like more communication via telephone from New American. I was a first time Home buyer, so I don’t have any experience in how the process worked. I phone call to explain emails and documents that were still needed would have made this process better for me.

Dan Moad's Service was actually excellent. Any time we were dealing with him he was quick and succinct and explained things to us. The one thing he did that lowered my review down from a great is he recommended a real estate agent. That real estate agent was not good. Among other things the real estate agent recommended to us (Andrew Wilde) did not communicate with us, stood us up for the final walkthrough and went to the wrong office for the closing. Besides that recommendation dan did great.

Everything went ok if I called, a lot. But I felt like not much happened if I didn’t call, a lot. Days went by with nothing being done. Because of that we closed after our closing date.
