The communication between my loan consultant and myself was not good as a related to items needed. The senior processor would submit emails to me at 6, 7 and 8 o’clock at night and then I was rushed to have the requested items to them by noon the next day. The few times that I contacted the loan consultant I felt that there was no interest in assisting me with that I was interested in helping me and that I was intruding on them if I had questions related my loan documents.

Everything was pretty good, except that it wouldn't have helped everyone if we had known from the start that the USDA was going to take longer than a month to process. Other than that, Joy was fairly prompt at answering questions and communicating with us. She was pleasant and polite. I would like to work with her in the future.

I want to make it very clear that I do not have any complaints about Shevell's handling of my loan and my interactions with her. She was always professional and extremely responsive to calls and/or emails. I would recommend her to family or friends, however, the same cannot be said about New American Funding. It took 2 different loan officers and 5 MONTHS to close on a "streamline" refinance (VA IRRRL). Absolutely unacceptable! Email me at miked2u@gmail.com for more details.

really need a simple document with a timeline on what is happening and how much is expected to be spent. Also closing instructions need to happen at least 5 days before closing. we didn't receive any. walked into the closing blind, told we had to wire money to some account (when my bank doesn't support outbound-wiring)... the whole closing was extremely and the seller almost walked out and reneged on the deal.

Aaron was pleasant and in the end took care of what needed to be done. He helped me get a great rate so I was happy about that. Helping me understand and have a clear set of expectations was really the biggest issue I had. It ended up with me spending several thousand more than I anticipated and re-scheduling a lot of things including a trip because closing was pushed back a week. In the end we closed on the house and there were several things done to make amends and it really did help me out!
