Our first experience with Amy was amazing. We wish we dealt with Amy instead of Ashley this time. Our interest rate was never locked in despite asking for a rate lock. There was barely any clear or proactive communication from the team unless we ask for specific items. Thankfully, this is our second home so we knew what to expect. But if you are a first time home buyer, you might be in a for a surprise. Revised forms were all wrong. All in all, it felt more stressful than it needed to be.

This company needs to work on their communication in office and with the customer. The first sign that showed that I should have gone elsewhere was that Envoy called the wrong company for an employment verification then faxed papers to an unknown number and I found out about it. The explanation I got was that they Googled the number. Envoy ruined my closing by not being prepared, and it toom 4 hours to close. They ruined my home buying experience.

The communication was poor. I am big on communication especially when it comes to a major purchase. When I asked Pam about locked rates, she told me she didn’t have time to do that. She said she could show me how to do it and I could do it on my own. She did not inform me she was sending documents. I would just have to log on to my email to keep constant check. I thank God for Magen. She was very helpful and Magen’s communication was beyond great. If it wasn’t for Magen, we would have been lost. Pam on the other end, I would not recommend nobody to her! We ended up talking to Magen through the process which I’m very grateful for.

Communication from team was no where near the level we are used to experiencing with Carrie. We've worked with her many times now. I understand sticking up for your teammates, but this was beyond that point. Conversations should have been had with the team so they can learn as professionals as well. We had to initiate contact for updates, request understanding on many topics as various acronyms were sent in emails or very vague requests we were not sure if they were items for us to complete or the loan officer assistant stating the next steps. We would send in paperwork and hear nothing in response-no acknowledgment of receipt, nothing. When we complained about the experience, Carrie tried to imply she was doing us a favor by doing this HELOC for us. No, when you make money on something it is not a favor. Amount approved changed multiple times without real explanation of why, we were just expected to understand. One time, we were told it was because we turned over new information, yet no NEW information had been turned over from us. We were criticized for making payments on certain monthly bills before closing when they were to be paid off with the loan amount. We cannot just go without paying our bills when we did not even have a closing date and the due date for the bill had passed. We did not want a late charge, multiple calls asking us to pay our bills, or more interest to accrue. Therefore, we had to pay our monthly bills. Even the gal at closing said she understood this and it wouldn't be a problem. My mother referred us to Carrie, but was not on the loan. When I expressed my husband and I's frustration with the experience we were having, Carrie felt the need to CC my mother on an email. Complete violation of my privacy as I am an adult, not a minor and this had nothing to do with my mother.

This is the 2nd time I did this. Shawenti was non responsive and constantly gave wrong infomation. My attorneys office and realtor have said the same thing.

Being upfront with the lender points, not discouraging me to shop around by telling me I have bad credit and that no one will give me a better deal because of it.

Very rough transaction - unnecessary requirements and contingencies placed by lender. Never have heard of or seen it required. Made it drag out and very difficult for the buyer and seller both
