Poor communication throughout process and delays.

Better communication and not getting defensive when asked questions about the file and how it was progressing. IT IS NEVER PERSONAL, it is about the client and getting them successfully to the desired outcome...closing, but not at the expense of bad customer service.

Terrible underwriting, terrible service, terrible communication. My whole refinance was a jumbled mess because of NAF. I mean just absolute incompetence and pure disregard for customer satisfaction. If I didn’t spend 3 months trying to get this refi through I would have pulled out of the deal with NAF because of the poor service. I plan on reporting the incompetence and terrible process to the BBB. Had I now followed up and pushed my rate lock would have expired.

We feel James made multiple large mistakes and made a stressful process even more stressful. I was approved, then I wasn't then I was approved again, then I wasn't. He "missed" multiple issues. The first one was because I did not have access to my retirement funds which he knew about weeks before we were ready to put in an offer, but it did not come up as an issue until we had already put in the offer. The second one was about 24 hours before we were scheduled to close he "missed" that we would need a second appraisal due to the purchase amount of the home and using a FHA loan. We then were all packed, utilities, insurance and internet were all set to start on 10/27 because this is what I was instructed to do by NAF. We are a family of 8. My children's bedding was all washed and bagged up for the move, my oldest daughters bed was taken apart and sold, her new bed was in pieces in a box, seeing how they were at their dads house for the week and wouldn't be back with me until we were in the new house. My kids were all sleeping in sleeping bags and my oldest on an air mattress. The internet was shut off at my old house and per spectrum we could not turn it back on unless we wanted to cancel the account and start over. For work I am required to have access to the internet at all times, so this was a big problem. Everything was in boxes and had to unpack and rummage through boxes to find things that we needed through that week. We had child care and people set to help us move on the 28th. We were all set and ready. Then it went to we weren't even sure it was going to happen. We had to go back through the approval process for the third time sending over banking documents and then given a hard time because the amount of money in my checking account changed. It's my checking account. I pay my bills, I have to live. Of course money is going to fluctuate. We were at the point that if there was one more "missed" problem we were going to completely start all over. My realtor was more than wonderful and kept me sane as best as she could but also explained to me that this is not the normal process and she would be expressing her complaints after the closing went through. I believe James means well and seems like a good person but this was a complete mess and I feel the excessive stress that was brought on by this was unnecessary. I am a very understanding and patient person and did my best to hang in there with James. The one good thing that he did was that he did not give up. He did keep going and got it done. We are happy to be in the house and that everything worked out in the end but will not be referring anyone to NAF.

Better communication, updates, follow-up, thorough review of items, and not being ignored for several days.

I Had to reschedule doc signing the day of one time and resign docs with notary one time. Commutation was poor between the employees. There were issues trying to figure out the amount of my loan payoff resulting in me having to digitally sign the final docs several times. I have bought 3 homes and refinanced 3 times in my life and this seemed to be done by amateurs. But they were nice.

Not trying to cheat the client. Th le process was a horrible experience, and they had no interest in helping the clients until the very end when you’re ready to walk away from the horrible deals they provide you
