The Closing Disclosure documents were never prepared correctly. After several phone conversations over months they always had to be updated and “would be correct at closing” and they weren’t. Which cost me $6k in VA fees as well as a pointless $10k down payment. To correct them again, they would have had to push the closing back 3 business days past the weekend which would have caused more hotel expenses, travel and missed work for me which they would not compensate for any of those. Additional Joe was super friendly and responsive until the day of closing and he’s failed to respond to me contacting him since. Very disappointed from where we started to where we finished.

Marino was helpful however the entire process made Marino look bad. The other individuals involved really made this a horrible experience for our family and we would NEVER recommend New American Funding

Everything was fine at first but then miscommunication started to happen. We were told that we were pre-approved but then we found out that we weren’t a couple weeks later due to employment verification. We didint know either until I called and asked. The worst was when our file was given to the loan processor Zipporah Francis. Her communication was HORRIBLE! Never let us know when she received our documents and she didn’t have the Closing docs ready for settlement. We sat at settlement for 3 hours just to be told that the docs were not coming. I called zipporah multiple times but no answer and no return call. Very unprofessional. Then she sent in the incorrect closing docs on the second settlement date as well. This process would have been better if we did not get zipporah as our loan specialist. Gillen was fine.

I provided all info and didn’t get a call if approval. I had to find out if I was approved. Once my loan was approved it went smoothly until I had to work with the next person. Again slow and lack of communication.
