Communication was terrible in the final few weeks before we closed. Loan was locked in way too early for it being contingent on our house selling, rate lock was done before we even had an offer on our home. I was having to ask questions if documents would be needed ahead of time and was still forced to scramble because I was told no things wouldn’t be needed then it was the week of closing. Closing documents were not finalized in a timely manner and we were forced to move our closing appointment. Then to top it off I was notified the morning after closing that I needed to get our signed closing statement from our previous home as soon as possible or they wouldn’t fund our loan. Seems that they do not take into account that people have jobs and families and expect the customer to be able to jump right on doing something when they need it. There needs to be some work done on how to be proactive with customers to make sure they understand everything that is needed at each step of the process and preferably with more than an hour heads up. Very frustrated with this whole process when we have been loyal customers of NAF for the last 5 years.

Communication when it was important to have an answer! Weather it was what I wanted to hear or not I did not get a returned call or email. I was not updated on the file until the morning of closing. Some documents such as the Amendatory Clause needed to be resigned the morning of closing because it did not have an FHA case number on the prior one. I was working with an elderly family with no computer skills. Not having answers prior to the day of closing was a big inconvenience for everyone.

Poor communication, the loan kept getting delayed so long that we had to sign twice. Lacked knowledge about auto loans that are tied to the mortgage. Very disappointed with the whole experience. We were recommended by a friend who is a Regional Bank Manager so we thought it would be a smooth transaction. It definitely was not.

Everyone was always easy to reach, polite, pleasant and professional in their communication. However, the content of our communication was rarely correct, and I was left on a few occasions with unanswered questions regarding basic numbers and terms. At the end, I honestly didn’t care whether the closing fell through or we got the house, I just wanted the “e-clicks”, phone calls and “rough estimates” (aka wrong numbers) to be over.

Better Communication. I found out we didnt recieve grant by seeing higher interest rate. Found out day of signing i owed more on closing costs and intrest rate was.3 higher. Unacceptable.

If we had been told before the end of the process that the loan we were applying for was one that Yolanda had never done, with a company she had never worked with, and that there might be a delay, we would not have left our apartment when we did and spent 3 weeks imposing on family, and $1900 in pet boarding fees. It would have cost less to stay in our current residence until escrow closed. I feel that communication about this matter would have been the most professional way to handle things.
