I would have really liked to get more timely and accurate updates on the status of my loan application once it moved past pre-approval. I have had many mortgages/ refinances over the last 39 years and this has taken the longest with the most unexplained delays. This process lasted from 6/23/20 to 9/30/20! At least a half dozen target dates as given by Moni were missed. A frank /accurate disclosure of what timing I was facing would have helped me make a better decisions and saved me money.

Many of the communications were confusing and conflicting. First they say they have everything and are sending the documents out. 4 days later, the documents still aren't sent, and they're waiting on something from us. They said they sent something to the title company and are waiting on them to send it back, but the title company never received it. It barely came together in time, and we were tasked with helping them verify employment 3 days after closing. It was very stressful and frustrating.

Refinancing took over 3 months. Some of that was due to my taking time to review numbers, but Frank did not communicate when things took over 2 months from my signing documents to closing. Frank did not tell us what was needed (e.g. wire funds or cashier's check, drivers licenses, etc) for closing, leading to additional delays. I felt pressure from Frank to sign instead of support when I asked questions.

The refinancing process took longer then my original loan with new America. I feel the communication between the internal parties was lacking and delayed my overall process. There were errors on my loan paper work before and after my documents signing that had to be amended. I would not use new American funding again and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.
