Better communication would have been great. But mostly it was just all the mistakes that were made. From beginning to end, little errors, or oversights kept coming up. The process should have taken 2 months, but it took about 6 months. Over and Over again, i was told, "we just need this One last thing", then 3 weeks later, "Ok, we just need you to give us this one last thing, we have an approval, but just need this last thing". Then again, the next month, well, now we are waiting for Title. :-(

Poor and misleading communication - first payment was due in April when James told us it would be due in May. Lack of updates despite other companies reaching out to us (notary, escrow, our own HOA) throughout closing. Notary noted extreme sloppiness and inconsistency in their paperwork and we're concerned about the need to re-sign. Frustrating deflection of these concerns by over-emphasizing the terms of the new loan. Still don't have payment info less than 2 weeks away from first payment due.

I've worked with many lenders over the years. This was by far the worst experience I've ever had. No one seemed to know what was going on or could keep us up to date on progress. We had no sense of who was in charge. We had requests to backdate documents, numbers were wrong even at closing, despite asking for confirmation hours before. Just awful.

Miguel was nice but overall it was a terrible exp and I will not refer to NAF. On multiple occasions my documents did not reflect the terms & multiple delays and time reissuing docs was frustrating because there were requirement not communicated until the day of closing. When the closing did occur (3mos) the loan amount had been decreased. That defeated a major goal of the refinancing which was to pull some equity for repairs. He said he could fix it but I had lost confidence & patience!

Communication was poor. Returned calls or texts were late a lot. Some returned calls or texts were days apart, one was a week. Mike had many excuses as to why he was so late returning calls or texts. I get that we all have issues in our personal lives but Mike has an assistant so I wasn't sure why he didn't have her communicate while he was having personal issues. I had to call his assistant to find out why I hadn't heard from him. He seems like a nice guy but the communication was a two.

Vanessa could have been much more professional in her handling of this loan from start to finish. She was not good at communicating or following up on many issues-it took days on end to get documents prepared then corrected on multiple occasions. She seems overwhelmed and had personal issues with her kids, Dr. appts and a funeral that prevented her from getting loan issues addressed. She didn’t even tell me when my loan funded until I had to contact her to find out. I know 2 others had same iss

I have been through several refinancing transactions over the last 20 years and this was the worst experience I've had. The communication was almost non-existent unless I reached out for updates. Even when I reached out for updates I was rarely provided substantive information. The entire process took over 3 months to close with 2 rate extensions. Even after funding, a check was sent to my private lender to pay off the prior loan when they had requested and provided wire instructions.
