Once the process was lived from Tyler to Leia the loan processor it went down hill. I was not communicated with by the processor. My client was very frustrated with her as she stated that Leisa would get her and another client confused. Leisa did not do all that she could to make sure that the time line of everything was where it needed to be. She never responded to my emails. Tyler did what he could but I would not refer New American funding to another client. Very unorganized.

My overall experience would have been better if Tyler and the rest of New American Funding believed in keeping their word. The whole time we were in the loan process Tyler repeatedly promised us to match a rate that we had in writing from another bank but when it came time to lock in he backed down on that. Even though we had emails with Tyler stating “absolutely, no problem!” He wouldn’t do it and at that point we didn’t have time to switch loan companies to secure the property we wanted.

Providing consistent communication and correct information, not mixing up the details of my loan with other's, working with the closing attorney to clear up issues with the paperwork without me having to prompt for a resolution several times.

This was a difficult file, however I don’t feel Troy had a full grasp of the underwriting guidelines from the beginnning which forced several changes to be made to the loan along the way causing closing delays. Communication was awful until the very last few days. Underwriting looked at the file up front and should have caught “unrelated coborrower” and other issues that came up along the way. I’ve never had a transaction go this badly and hope I never do again.

This is the worst loan process I have experienced in my life. There were too many delays in the closing process due to repeatedly asking for paperwork work I have already submitted and asking to run my credit constantly. This process took about 3 months to close. The seller, my attorney, the title company, and I were thrown off by there handling of this process. I believe this was delayed due to the seller and I's race. If I had to do it all over again it wouldn't be with New American

I had a great experience with Mary Westlake until she left. Once Stephen took over things got confusing, unorganized and the communication level went down. I was charged for an extension and was told that the reason was because the appraisal was ordered too early. That obviously is not my fault but we were charged anyways. Overall, I am unsatisfied with my experience and would not work with Stephen Farmer again.
