Very stressful process with American funding. Lack of management. Have done this process with other lender with no issues at all.

This was the worse mortgage process I've experienced in the 8 homes I've purchased.. Lots of duplicate work when it came to submitting documents and lots of separate communication. It felt like I was constantly redoing the same work.

Pretty much couldn't get ahold of her for 3 weeks my realtor tried getting a hold of her as well and had the same issue. Was way more stressful then it should of been. Plus my closing date was moved which is irrating

We never once spoke to Matt. We tried to call at least a few times and our calls were never answered. We ended up working with Jessica and she was great but she doesn’t know Texas real estate so that was tough. My husband and I work in real estate. This whole transaction, both legs of it, were awful. What was supposed to be happy and exciting was beyond stressful. It felt like nobody knew how to do their job and I kept having to step in to do it for them. Unacceptable.

The last minute items that should have been completed a WEEK or more prior to closing were unbelievable (financial information from borrowers, the amount to wire for closing, net settlement sheet, etc.). Just TWO days before closing, we get a 'draft' CD that was sent from the title company, not NAF, which is where it should have come from. The processor, Ashlee, was incompetent from the beginning. She confused numbers, misspelled word, led us down a rabbit hole. There was VERY poor communication between Kelly and Ashlee. The MORNING of closing, the numbers were incorrect on the CD Ashlee sent to the title company. Unbelievable unprofessionalism. I will never recommend NAF as a lender.
