I had request for the same information several times and it was located in the portal. I had emails from different people advising that they worked for newamerican funding. Unsure who actually works with the company and who is scamming. I believe communication could be improved drastically.

Plain and simple, the level of respect for us as professionals am a registered nurse but I felt I was treated like criminal, the other guy Jack has no sense of respect in how he talks, I would not recommend any of my friends to work with either of the people that we worked with, at the end of the close we got a call for them apologising for how they treated us, I forgive them all but would advise my friends to find a different Lendor , people work hard so they can provide a home for their families especially in respectable healthcare , the only reason we stuck around was because my wife liked the home and location also sticking with our lenders from outside was not going to help with closing fees so we just had to stick with these lenders who were nice at times but mostly unpleasant in how we got treated am not sure who in higher up I can speak with to tell about our unpleasant experience in our home buying

In my initial call, Karen emphasized that she was different from other loan broker's because she adds a "personal touch" and handles calls personally. This was completely untrue. Karen disappeared. I was constantly calling, texting, and e-mailing to get a status. Silence. Weeks would pass. Nothing. I mentioned refinancing to friends and they asked for a referral. I told them to let me see how things go with Karen. She/New American Funding just lost FOUR referrals. Bad experience.

If the information I was given at the start of this working relationship held true to the end regarding down payment and securing a loan that DID NOT include mortgage insurance I wouldn't have felt as though I was taken advantage of. I was blindsided at closing and there were times I felt during phone conversations that they didn't know who I was. I trusted them because they came recommended. I would not recommend this company to anyone purchasing a home.

Our previous Loan Consultant (who was wonderful) left NAF so we were passed along to Toni. The HELOC loan process was a dumpster fire from the word go. Incorrect loan docs and payoff amounts etc. I had to make 3-requests to revise documents before they were finally corrected. When we asked about a fixed rate vs an adjustable, all communication basically stopped with Toni and she basically sent us a link and told us we had to do it completely online, yet it listed her as our loan consultant. This is a very broken process and was very frustrating. It made us feel that our loan was not important to her, or NAF. When we asked questions we were told to call customer service (who was also not helpful). We then felt forced to stick with the adjustable rate HELOC so we could work with an actual person to get through the process as our comfort level had decreased substantially. We were told our loan would fund on the 11th (today). I emailed our processor yesterday to see if we were on track, and got an out of office reply that she was out until the 25th, to reach out to our loan consultant with questions. Toni referred us back to the processor. I reached out to the processors manager, Andrea, and we were told they just got the docs yesterday (when the Fedex shows they were received Monday morning) and they were being "reviewed" and she would watch for funding. We asked if we could pay to have the payoff checks overnighted and were told by Andrea she would have to ask Title and would let me know. It is now nearly 4pm on the day we were supposed to fund and we have not heard back from anyone on the status of our loan, whether we can have the checks overnighted or even if it will fund today. Communication was very poor throughout this process. We really wish now, that we would have stuck with our Credit Union for this HELOC as we originally planned. People still like to work with actual PEOPLE and they key to good customer service is clear communication. That is what could have made this experience MUCH better.
