Communication sucks. No updates on anything at all. Hard to reach people sometimes especially at crucial times. Wouldn't respond to emails promptly, communication is terrible. Never had a right CD or estimated closing cost. Was told I was going to get a grant and then found out the day of closing couldn't get the grant, so I had to add an extra 1500$ to my closing cost. Did not know what my payment was going to be till the day of closing. Did not close on time due to Matt. Would not recommend anybody to use NAF at all. Use someone trusted and local this place sucks for communication and getting not getting stuff done. We did a 40-day closing and NAF still couldn't get all our documents and underwriting figured out even though we provided documentation same day every time it was asked of us. This place sucked only decent thing was that we received a 6k grant, but like I said we were told we would get another 1500$ and didn't know till 2 hrs before closing we wouldn't get it. Also I did not know how much money I was bringing to closing till an hour and half before closing time. 0/10 Would not recommend.

When calling corporate and management several times and leaving messages for a return call. a call back to discuss would be not only a courtesy but good business procedure. Still waiting for Tom Detoro to return several messages. Very unpleasant experience.

Started this loan process March 29th, 2024, didn't close until July 15th, 2024, constantly signing the same paperwork over and over, the communication wasn't great, just got something in email and had to take care of it immediatley. Felt like our lives were on hold the entire time. This is the 3rd time I've mortgaged with New American Funding. The first two times were easy, pleasant and quick. This third time was painful, long and a s*** show.
