My clients were buying a home in Illinois, our closing process is unique to the state. It was not a process that Elizabeth or her team were really familiar with. They continue to make mistakes on the closing statement for the last week before our close date and including the day of the close. Our closing should’ve taken about a hour and we are at the title company for four hours. I would not recommend this lender for a closing in IL

It was just a frustrating experience. My fees turned out to be much higher than originally communicated to me. Also my loan process went silent for about 6 wks. I got concerned & got a written offer from another mortgage firm at a lower rate (although not locked) & much lower fees. I presented this & expected that if New American wouldn't match it, they'd at least make some kind of effort to move a little. Nothing. I also sent Nick 3 other deals that he closed. Got nothing for that either

Actually Andy was great for most of the transaction. I complemented him several times because he always answered the phone when I called. The problem was at closing. The package was late, the numbers were wrong, the closing was to start at ten o'clock. It ended at seven o'clock. Andy didn't answer the phone during that time from any phone number that he recognized. He only answered when a new phone number was introduced. That part was bad but we mostly blame his company.

I had zero communication with Kelley following my initial 2 phone calls for my information as I recall. The next and last time we ever spoke was at closing.

Ball was dropped during underwriting, even after I had checked in with Zach. Then, after many phone calls from buyer, funding had to be rushed. Could have been avoided.

The length of time to complete this Refinance from August 2019 to February 2020 was unacceptable. The lack of communication from the staff associated with my refinance was less than professional. I contracted with New American Funding for the rate and ease of completing this refinance. I am not interested in "their personal business", only the professional job that they have been hired to complete. I would not recommend this company to anyone for refinance.
