I enjoy working with Kathy, I feel that we did not get a fair appraisal, I would not recommend USA appraisal to anyone. Appraiser did not get good comps & the ones he used one of the houses are under contract for 235k & the other one sold for 200k in the houses are 20 years older than mine Appraise my at 180k, l feel that Toy processor took to long over a month and a half & waiting to last minute to get insurance information. No strong complaints - Valerie was extremely pleasant and helpful. Just was a little challenging on the communication front between Valerie and The underwriter and associated timings. The handoff between the two seemed a little clunky and I was never sure who the appropriate contact was. Ultimately though my re-fi got done around when originally communicated and at the pricing promised. I did have to float some out of pocket costs I hadn’t planned on due to repayment of my current mortgage.

For the most part Valerie did a good job. There were a couple of key points throughout the process where Valerie was unresponsive. Her voicemail stated that she was in the office and would return calls by the end of the day and this did not happen. When we did connect she informed me that she was actually out of the office. Other than that the experience was good.

Shiv is a good loan officer and if he worked for a better company, then I would recommend him. The fact that NAF would allow a loan officer to take on a client while half way through the process traveling to a different country was a bit concerning. My biggest issue is with how NAF pulled a bait and switch. I don't blame the loan officer or the underwriter because they were just doing their jobs. I got a quote that was very low, then I got shown the real price once it was too late to change NAF.

I am grateful for the experience of purchasing my new home, however; consistent communication is very important to me. I do understand there are many other clients and the loan officer does get busy but with a major investment such as the purchase of a home, I would love to have had better communication throughout the process. I will say towards the end communication did improve with the assistant of anothee loan processor with the company. Communication is key.

Jonathan, did excellent! The proverbial “ball” was dropped by underwriting and the final closing agent we dealt with through the transaction! We missed our contractual closing date and the buyer could have lost the property and earnest money! We did not actually close on the property for 5 business days after closing! I believe the problem lies with underwriting! Time to get that a little more organized!
