Stop sending emails at 5pm with no prior conversations with the clients they were very upset about it. You did a great job of working it out in the end but several times the client was very upset about the way things were going

My loan officer would tell me they would send docs or call me for a follow up on certain dates, yet that wouldn't happen. At one point I had to call the customer service line to get an update.

Was not contacted timely. Michael would not return calls promptly or, sometimes, not at all. I did not receive the final numbers until almost 6:00 the night before the closing the next morning. I was surprised at how much your agency charged for the loan and the points applied. I was told that the final numbers would be explained well in advance of the closing. Also, your agency's practice of making the borrower pay in advance $500 for the appraisal was very concerning to us. We were told that it was not going to be necessary but that was not the case. We were not financially prepared for such a fee. We never had to do this in any other closing in the past. It reflects a shoddy operation. The senior processor was fine and was a pleasure to deal with. She worked hard in getting a lien problem taken care of. Bill Preston

The loan has closed so I am not sure there is anything to be done at this point. The entire process was chaotic and I felt like Amanda was listening to me or following through on any of my request. The worst part was working with the Underwriter Cat. I would email Cat with no response and lack of communication when she did respond. Based on the way my husband and I were discriminated against.

The communication was bad. I was mostlt unaware of what changed in my closing doc. I was blind sided at closing with coats and a payment that is not what i discussed. Had i had more time i would have went to a different lender.

Drew was very nice and helpful. But the “back office staff” were NOT. Our realtor said she had not seen any mortgage company as difficult as ours in her 35 years as a broker. Our lawyer was astounded and appalled as was the title company by all the hurdles and complexities. No you did not provide the funds by our closing date despite promises to do so. Luckily the seller was willing to move the closing date in the hope that the mortgage funds might arrive in time. The seller did not have to do that—she could have refused and kept our $100,000 earnest money. I had to be prepared to find the needed cash without a mortgage if need be. It was an incredibly stressful experience on top of the normal stress of buying, selling and moving house. We would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. Nor will our realtor. We have outstanding credit and were bringing cash to the closing for over 3/4 of the purchase price of 1.426 million. Yet we had to run to the bank just an hour before the closing to get a bank check for an extra roughly $3000 because we were not given the correct dollar amount that we needed to by New American.
