Communication during the process was sparse and always a result of our request- scheduling the final signing was a nightmare and we almost walked away to start over- the notary Eddie saved this transaction at the final moment- very professional and knowledgeable- not pleased with the closing process

I began my refi in early October and was advised I would close sometime in November. My loan did not close until January 2021. I consistently had to contact New American Funding as to the status of my loan. I believe someone dropped the ball in the underwriting process delaying my closing. Eva was very helpful and I do believe the issues I experienced were out of her hands, however everyone is representative of New American Funding and I would not utilize this company for future endeavors.

Communication! The lack of returning phone calls and messages was terrible. The amount of time it took to process the loan was like slow dripping molasses. The appraisal was done on December 7,2020, with a closing set for December 30,2020. It finally closed, after hours, on December 31,2020. This was after numerous calls and emails between the client, title company, Real Estate Agents, and your company. Many sent to your company were unanswered. The underwriting staff was beyond slow.

I had trouble communicating with Laurie. There were many times I couldn’t get her to respond to me, however I am pleased that Laurie and her team looked into all options to get me refinanced

At the beginning the communications were unclear. I was given misinformation about rates and was initially told that I could get one type of loan rate, but then told it was a mistake. At one point during a clarifying question, I was answered rudely and eventually hung up on. Eventually, I worked with others in the company who were clearer with their communication and the loan went through. The document upload process is not user friendly. It should be streamlined.

It took two months to get a refinance done and i was asked on multiple occasions to resend things i already had. Their communication between themselves and to us was poor. We would get an email the night before needing something the next day that required signatures, and had i not been checking constantly I would have missed it and not got it turned in on time.
