Andrew has been great for the nearly 3.5 years we’ve been trying to get a home. He’s checked in regularly and been patient, ultimately earning our business. He even worked to get a lower rate than what our bank could offer. This is all appreciated. Unfortunately, we experienced a nerve-wracking final 48 hours leading to closing that resulted in a delay in our closing. My husband contacted our loan officer 3 weeks ago to confirm NAF had what was needed from the HOA and he confirmed that he had everything. Flash forward to the day before our closing and suddenly the loan processer said she didn’t have a crucial set of HOA documents necessary for closing (insurance materials). This was news to every single party involved (buyers, seller, buyers’ and seller’s agents, closing attorney) except somehow NAF. There was no communication about this issue until the proverbial eleventh hour and it resulted in a delay of activities surrounding closing. While we were ultimately able to close on the same day we scheduled, the 6 hour delay was awful and 100% preventable. Activities contingent on our on-time closing were impacted by the delay and this may have negative repercussions as new home owners. For a process that should have been smooth and full of excitement, this was anything but. I am very disappointed in our closing experience and would not recommend a repeat performance for anyone. I believe we’ll continue to have a positive relationship with Andrew and NAF, however, this damaged my perception of the efficacy and quality of our lender.

Due to my loan processor changing in the middle of the process, there were a few communication issues. Edwin Miranda tried to be supportive and I do not believe any were his fault. The overall process was a little frustrating due to the circumstances.

Communication was spotty at times, and I had to follow up during the refi process. Also my most recent refi was through another company because CCM would/could not match/beat the deal.

Steve was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable and I enjoyed speaking with him. He was very, very good at selling the product. Execution of the process by others at Cardinal Finance was okay. it was successfully completed with only a few issues. They did a good job but nothing made them outstanding.

The service was fine. The only major deficiency that comes to mind was the fact that the lender- ordered appraisal initially appraised the incorrect house. This was only corrected after I read the appraisal report and pointed out the issue. The issue was resolved in time to close, but it was a pretty silly mistake.

Team was good at answering questions we had. Team could do better on the process up to closing. Too many request for the same informations submitted earlier. A list of to do list should be forwarded to client 1 week ahead of closing, NOT 24 hour prior to closing. Agent needs to know the exact cost prior to closing, in our case we were short of $1k+ and had to run home while at closing office. The process could have been better. Overall, thank you for walking us through the process of buying our new home.
