Improved communication in both timeliness and phone conversations. Lists of tasks with explanations rather than last minute requests. Reduction in duplication of requests. Some documents were sent three times. Most importantly, costs were not accurately explained. The loan was proposed to me as "no points." When the papers were signed I noticed 1.1 points had been added to the costs. When I questioned the point, I was told it was old news but it was certainly not old news to me.

Initially everything went well. DeAundrue Simmons was very helpful and communicated what to expect and when to expect it to occur. We were to the point of needing to schedule with the notary when for some reason, Mr. Simmons stopped responding to my e-mails and stopped returning my calls. I ended up needing to speak to his supervisor. No one explained why Mr. Simmons stopped communicating with me and I am unsure if my loan would have been funded if I had not contacted his supervisor.

most of my unpleasantness came from the interactions or lack thereof with Candy Jones. On 5 different occasions I was asked to send information that had previously been sent but was told no it wasn't when I had timed stamped computer printouts showing it had been. These "occasions" were given as the reasons for the delays in getting final approval for my loan. I've had several other occasions to work with Michael, they have been exemplary which is why this was perceived the way that it was.

During closing, the funds were not released until after waiting for a while. The appraiser you chose did not completed the appraisal on a timely basis, causing the funds to be held. It was quite stressful as we were at closing, but not sure the funds were going to be released.

This loan took over 6 months to complete. They ran my credit score 3 times and needed the same documents submitted and over and over. I was told for 6 months that I was approved then all of a sudden they needed a co-signer. I actually cancelled this loan but rescinded because I had gone so far and didn’t want to start all over with another company. I am not necessarily blaming Michael and Rubi. I suspect those above them that kept asking for more and more.

I had so much difficulty throughout this entire process. Jesse was easier to work with than Dez, but I still had a lot of trouble reaching anyone when I had concerns. Phone calls were hard to get returned in a timely manner. Dez did not send me a survey, but I’d give 1 star to her. Late paperwork, blaming me for issues that were her fault, losing things I sent, delays in closing because she didn’t get things done... at one point she actually told me and my realtor not to call her anymore.

The whole process was terribly slow. It took over 6 months for a simple refinance. I would send in requested information and not hear anything back. I would have to email and make sure things were received. The lack of communication was unacceptable.

Needed more honest information about whether we could afford the mortgage with changes in interest rates. Very helpful with getting a mortgage quickly and communicating about what information we needed to provide though.
