Our first time going through this loan process working with Tanya for our first home was great. This was the reason for going back to you when we purchased a new home. This second time around was extremely difficult. There was a lot of miscommunication and documents/evidence that was asked of us multiple times. When we were all set to close we were told we needed our cashiers check and drivers license. When we arrived we were told that we were still missing our previous home disclosure. This caused a lot of panic as you can imagine. Thankfully our contact at the title company was able to provide that in a matter of minutes. Overall this experience felt disorganized.

The loan refinance process took almost 5 months with not a lot of answers as to why. Lots of unnecessary drops of the ball which caused delay. Jason seemed to be diligent in trying to fix the ball drops but they just kept happening throughout the process, likely due to several individuals working on the loan. The interest rate also had to be relocked due to the delays, resulting in an increased interest rate. No one informed us that the interest rate was increased, it was only discovered once we reviewed the Closing Disclosures. On a very positive note, we had the opportunity to talk with NAF Manager Tom before the signing appointment to discuss the ball drops for which he acknowledged and tried to right any wrongs as best he could. His concern and care were genuine and really appreciated, making what was a frustrating process end on a very good note.

In the beginning Nina was great and I was looking at multiple lenders but decided on New American because of Nina's customer service. A few days before closing 3 days to be exact we find out that Nina dropped the ball and our file was completely messed up! The reappraisal was not ordered until the last second which delayed our closing. Also the processor didn't even know my husband had a new job and was doing job verification at his old company. The processor also asked us for things that we had sent Nina at least a month before hand such as my husbands new employer's information. The delay in closing costs us money with our deliveries we had scheduled. So in the end No I was not happy with Nina. Also when this whole mess happened with our closing we stopped hearing from Nina and were only in contact with Stephanie the processor whom was great she fixed everything that was messed up.

Information was late to be requested, payoff information was never communicated until last day. Payoff went up $68k with no prior communication. closing date was delayed to poor communication and lack of planning for the new year holiday

Communication. Updates when requested....not several days later, or not at all! Less errors. Bjorn seems knowledgeable, but the lack of communication was extremely stressful. I found so many errors on paperwork and had to point them out to his "team" to make corrections which wasn't comforting. Underwriting is horrible. Very long, drawn out and stressful experience.
