Communication wasn’t that good .. it took sometime to return phone calls overall it wasn’t a good experience wouldn’t recommend

Better communication while processing the loan. Notable the initial delay of closing.

Communication over the course of our loan process was awful. We were contacted by multiple loan officers as the management of our loan changed hands which was very confusing. On top of that, when we tried to get answers around anything, we couldn't get a hold of our loan officer or the underwriter. I've been through several loan and home loan processes and this was hands down the most confusing and frustrating. You all had great reviews online but that quality has clearly fallen to the waist side. You have our loan now but when the time comes, we will likely refinance and go elsewhere.

The buyer wasn't happy with the communication. This was a first time buyer and had a lot of questions that weren't answered when they were needed. He felt like the only communication was when a document was needed.

It is not that it was not memorable. I just never interacted with Michelle in any way. I called her and emailed her but was responded to by her team through the entire transaction. It was a smooth transaction by the way and her team was helpful and your automated follow up systems are nice.

Working with Josh was one thing. The Processor Margie Bautista has to be the worst in the industry. There was deception throughout the process. I wanted transparency and that was not there. 2 Months for settlement and it was all on Margie. I will never refer New American Funding to anyone. Neither will either of the Realtor's involved with this transaction.

I was advised most loans would close in 30 days or less in the beginning. Serious lack of urgency and lack of communication with the original loan processor, Ashley caused significant delays. Began the loan process end of June and did not close until August. Communication with loan officer was very good in the beginning and then communication halted and there were no little to no responses regarding my concerns with the loan processing status. Good communication should occur throughout the entire loan process not just in the beginning as a sales tactic. Once my file was reassigned to a new loan processor, Michael F. things went more smoothly and communication was timely. Overall I would rate the experience a 6 out of 10.

At first everything was great! This was my first HELOC. Bassam explained the process to me so I was very anxious to get started. Once Bassam received the needed documents from me he stopped following up. I had several questions, there were delays and errors along the way. The only person who would respond to me was Gem. I was told by Bassam that my creditors would be paid directly which was inaccurate. I opted to have my loan direct deposited. I received checks made out to my creditors a week later via fed ex in which now I had to mail out. It would have been much easier if the entire loan was deposited in my account and I was given the amounts to pay my creditors. Everyone does business online or over the phone these days. That was a huge waste of time not ti mention slower process.
