They kept asking us for the same documents they had already received. Meghann would never answer her phone to me or return my phone calls. It seems like they have a communication issue within them selfs. They gave us until the 13th to get our documents together in which we did but, they kept asking for more paperwork and more paperwork until the 27th. It pushed our closing date back twice. I’ve been through this process several times and I’ve never been through such a slow, stressful and unorganized process. It literally drained all the excitement out of purchasing a new home, to the point where I didn’t even want it anymore. I hope this was a one time thing and no one else has to go through the same experience we did.

If we had been info that there was a limit on how much money we could deposit at 1 time we could have closed more than a month earlier. But we didn't find out about the limit until it was too late. By then we had to wait 60 days for our money to sit in the bank. Also our first loan processor Sara was so rude. We were ready to walk away from the whole deal because of her. Luckily we got Lee at the end and she was awesome. Communication at the beginning was awesome but the further we got into to process the communication started slacking. We are glad to have purchased a home but by the end we wish we would have went with a local company or bank that was more up to date with our state and the rules and regulations and maybe someone with more experience. It seemed like 1 person didn't know what the other was doing, we were always having to send paperwork to 1 person and then turn around send it again because the person that needed it didn't receive it from the 1st person. We went thru several closing dates and the date we actually closed we were not even prepared because it was a last minute thing. Like I said I'm glad we purchased our home but I wish we would have went with another company

We had difficulty with communication with the team and were asked for the same documents multiple times, which unfortunately made the process more stressful. It would have also been helpful to have more explanation about the documents that were sent to use to sign, before we received them. I do think that Megan would have been very receptive if we had reached out, but in some cases we did not have enough time to schedule a call before the documents needed to be signed.

Getting things done 4 months sooner. Being up front from the beginning of things that needed to be done. Understanding that some people just can't stop what they are doing on their job and go do things We informed Chad right from the beginning of this process that we needed a week notice before closing. Got notice from him the day of that we were closing but didn't work out than got attitude because the next two days we couldn't do it because of work schedules?

Communication AHEAD of time. I had to seek out much of the e communication. Letting me know in advance if something is missing and if I need to make my payment because I am not closing as expected. The communication with Crystal the underwriter was my worst experience with New American. I am not sure I will return. I have refi 5 times with Jenny and the commitment wasn’t there this time. She was distracted.

I requested updates and to be cc'd in any and all correspondence and I could not get updates when requested. I usually receive multiple email updates from my lender so I am aware of where we stand at all times. I obtained the majority of the status from my buyer. It's not good when I cannot provide updates to the listing agent because I have no status updates directly from the lender. Instead, the buyer is updating me and asking what it means.
