The experience was ok. I'm a relationship person and I never met any of the people involved in person. It's not that I would unrecommend NAF. It's just that I have a hard time recommending someone I haven't met in person. My trust was shaken (not broken) when David tried to raise my rate from the quoted 6.75% to 7%. He did come back to a rate of 6.625% after another bank said they could do 6.75%. It would've felt better if he stayed with the promised rate because of his word and not because he almost lost the business. That being said David did take care of me and he got us what we wanted. It just takes time to learn to know someone and the rate increase incident made me feel uneasy. I could have switched to a different lender, but I try to be a man of my word and David had already put quite a bit of time into it and he had already had an appraisal done prior to this so I decided if he makes good on his promise I'll stay.

I was refinancing my NAF mortgage. Your loan processing team is top notch! The contractor you are using to manage home insurance is inept and extremely frustrating. After my insurance agent faxed the invoice twice over the summer, in September I spent three hours on the phone (one and a half of that with my insurance agent) with the insurance dept., and I ended up having to pay out of pocket tp avoid policy cancellation. I expected to be remibursed when my refinance closed and my escrow for wind and hail was returned to me. Well, somehow, the bill that had not been paid for months was paid right before my refinance closed. I waited for the insurance agency to clear the check and reimburse me. If this experience is happening for other customers, it doesn't matter that you have a FANTASTIC loan processing and closing team, the servicing needs to be less exhausting. Thank you for a wonderful loan refinancing process otherwise.
