Rate lock was set at 6.5% it helped but very little. It took a while to get funding to provide atg a difference between cost to close & money brought for closing. If the rate lock was set closer to what it actually was at the current time, I would not hesitate to consider fairway for refinancing or other loans. I will certainly be shopping around next time.

The underwriting or whoever kept asking for things I already sent. Due to their mistakes, it took 3 months instead of 2. That caused some major problems for me. Then the final disbursement was wrong and hasn't been corrected yet.

Recieved a cash to close estimste that Was drasticlly lower than what it was actually going to be. When I reached out to discuss the amount originally not making sense I was assured it was accurate and then instead of owning up to the mistake, I was blamed for not bringing it to their attention. Providing accurate cash to close is not on me when this company is running the numbers.

There were items and expenses that could have been explained more thoroughly as opposed to just sending a PDF or pamphlet. Overall the experience was not bad. For first time home buyers, I would suggest a more thorough explanation of key items and expenses.
