The process was fine..... not bad at all. It took longer than expected, and while communications were rapid as they needed processing documents, etc, I felt like when I needed urgent questions answered, I could not get responses. I often had to message reminders to get answers to my questions. However, regarding the time issues, I do realize some things involved other layers of processing and were beyond these two ladies' control. I actually still have a question in limbo to which I've received no answer, and it's been several days. My overall experience was satisfactory, and I am grateful for the work, and I love that everything was able to be done electronically.

Oh, the experience is memorable. Thomas was good. Things took a bad turn when we were informed by the "Concierge" regarding an early closing date, and he wanted to get us set up with things i.e. Internet, alarm system etc. (not Utilities.) I noted a tone of frustration with him when we were not interested in other products he spoke of. Then came Tran Le, repeatedly requesting documents that were already provided. Finally about the fourth time with one document Tran spelled out what was actually needed. I am not in this business. I do think some fine tuning would help. This turned out to be a clear cut case of too manyncooks in the kitchen. I am glad Thomas always responded in a timely manner and was able to answer the questions, and reduce frustation levels. Thomas gets good marks.

Getting a hold of Katy Shelton was pretty easy. But getting a hold of the loan processor was difficult. Half the time she didn't answer emails. And the last minute requests for information happened about three times just days before closing. We even had people from NAF calling the day before closing to confirm finances. Mrs. Shelton was not the issue. It was the loan processor and the lack of communication with her. We understand that we needed to gather information to get their home loan. But the last minute changes became very stressful and unpleasant. I guess you could blame the underwriter for requesting the last minute information. It was pleasant up until the end. And we were told we would have one interest rate, then another and then it changed back to the original interest rate. The whole process seemed rather unorganized near the end. And the appraisal should have been requested faster than it was. Those are the reasons why I would not recommend NAF two other people. The loan officer was very pleasant and patient and understanding. But the rest of the process was just horrible.
