Had to email the same documents multiple times. Did not receive responses to some of my emails in a timely manner. Wanted to check if any other paperwork was needed close to our closing date (which there was) but it took several days to get a response.

Living thousand of miles away made the process more complicated.

I realize the situation was complex, as the seller provided items late and the closing had to be extended. 100% the biggest difference would be more timely communication from the loan processor, and secondarily, easier access to the loan officer. Part of the challenge for everyone was that my loan officer got switched out. Chris Aimes, the original loan officer, won my business for many reasons that added up over years. But he was switched out with during the processes. While I got good vibes from Daniel Jackson, we entered a situation that he said he wasn't as familiar with. My understanding is that many of the questions were ones for the processor, but the processor was almost entirely inaccessible to me. It was confusing to me when we were told extension fees would be waived and lender credit would match our competing offer, only to discover later that (according to Kenzy) extension fees were subtracted from the lender credit. I wanted to review everything with her to better understand the situation, but I could never reach her. I'd be happy to elaborate in more details if that would be valuable. I am grateful for the work to close the loan and wish everyone involved the best.

Over all 7.5/8 out of 10. Lenders should be easier to contact via phone since it's likely the biggest purchase I'll make in my lifetime. Or maybe schedule phone call appointments with buyers and keep it. Then follow up with emails for a paper trail if necessary.

He was good but I think the communication cane be better. I must have told to review the mortgage packet which was added to my account and that could have a save a lot of my questions to him. I was told that I need to do the online course after the closing date. I found that course very useful and wished I would have done it in the beginning of the loan process as it was very informative and cleared lot of things which I had to ask my friends / loan officer or had gone online to get the answers.

The line of communication could've been more open. At times it was difficult to get in contact with people to have our questions answered. They were very friendly and helpful when you could actually speak to someone.

Clear instructions and have a paper with everything you need in the beginning

It took way too long. I started the process in october, at some point it appears I was forgotten avout about and had to send emails to see what was going on. 3 months to close is just unacceptable
