My transaction was during the covid 19 pandemic. They kept asking for the same documents in different format over and over. It became very frustrating. I would call and it take them days to get back to me. I didn’t feel like I was a priority. My closing date was changed several times and when we did close I received paperwork from the homeowners insurance that reflected the wrong date. I had it corrected myself. I would never recommend this company to anyone, just the opposite..

I was very disappointed in the inaccuracies. Spelling of my name, date of closing issues, the inaccuracies in the documentation at closing. I don't know if it was due to Bridgette or other factors so please take this review with a grain of salt.

It may have not been her completely. But at times trying to get things to her seem like it was impossible. Maybe it was her processor. Which made it worst in the last week. I understand Brittany was very busy at times. So I understand I wasn't the only one she was helping. Being a 1st time home buyer and using them...not happy. 3/5.

Communication with me and between team members to reduce or eliminate redundancies. Also better coordination- ex. we had to wait at the title lawyer's office for over an hour after closing because Newamerican staff insisted on getting all documents faxed/notarized before releasing funds. The title lawyer said this is not Georgia law- he in fact said it was illegal to hold funds after closing. This is just one example. I closed on four other homes prior to this and this was the worst experience.

I was charged $750.00 on my credit card for an appraisal fee. I only authorized $450.00. When I received my disclosure estimates it stated my interest rate wasn't locked, my loan amount and interest rate were incorrect. I asked several times if it was locked and was assured in a email that it was locked. Two weeks later, I found out that it wasn't locked. Closing took 2 hours because the paperwork was incorrect. Signature blocks were on a separate page which could be put with any document.

Our paperwork still wasn't right at closing! It did get corrected but was hard for all parties!
